Post stats - Help with tech calculator!

I am sure many of you would like to have a spreadsheet that could calculate various tech costs, UP costs, benefits of more UP vs more god techs etc etc.

I will *try* to make one (no guarantee that I will succeed).

I need help from people though. Mainly, I need stats when you are freshly ascended (before you have bought any UP or techs).

So next time you ascend, don't spend anything straight away, come and post here! Here is what I need:

Current ascended level (the on you just ascended to):

UP cost from 100-101:

Improbability drive cost at 0 (e to the power of X):

All tech costs (when at 0): (tech costs vary between different techs so please make sure you specify which cost is for which tech)

Easiest way to do this is probably just to post your ascension level and UP cost and then print screen your techs page and post it here.

Anyone who wants to go the extra mile can experiment with some costs of various things and let me know what they find out!

From what i have found out you will need specifics for each individual techs since some are more costly than others. Also if anyone could post the cost of techs of a brand new account that has not ascended yet.

That is what I meant by *all* tech costs. I shall edit to be more specific

Which also i would say you would probably need more than one rate increase in each tech since from what ive seen its not a straight linear equation that equals the technologies. So i would say have them list the cost for the first 5 tech increases for each tech. Mind you this all has to be done with a non-upgraded Improbability Drive. If I'm able to get atleast the first 5 techs on each technology for each ascended level im positive i would be able to work out a equation for the total cost of each technology at any point. Now with that said I don't think there will be anyone willing to go through this much work for it.

Well, whether this ends up a Hippy/Joker collaboration, competition, or highjacking, it's a worthwhile project. I'll be able to provide the numbers for Ascended 14 come this weekend... assuming that no one thrashes my religious specialists.

I think I can get my roommate to make an account to test the early levels. He is unlikely to want to continue all that long in this type of game, but he owes me. It would be from the same ip though. Is NG super-strict on that? The accounts wouldn't need to interact at all if that helps. Juliette?


Since the lowest ascended players seem like they would be less likely to read forums, perhaps someone with supporter status could email new players and give them a gate and some goodies if they help the project. Even a pittance seems big at those early ascensions.

Anyway, people should sign up for levels so work isn't duplicated, and I've got 14 unless someone can do it before Sunday.

SO... I didn't remember to get the numbers UP before upping it, but I did remember before doing techs.

I didn't have the naq to upgrade the techs then without the improbability drive though, so I did it for 1 tech without, and the rest at ID 12. I confirmed that, as billed, the ratio between the cost of the first and later upgrades stays the same whether you do the ID first or not, so the numbers should be useful with only a little rounding error. Good enough to figure out formulas. Simply multiply the numbers given by 13 to get the non-discounted prices (or really close).

Ascension 14 tech upgrades (Improbability Drive Level 12):

DMC & Weapons: 14391, 57564, 95799, 139021, 187083, 239646
Shields: 15830, 67638, 113519, 165386, 223060, 286136
Cloak & Decloak: 15111, 62601, 104659, 152203, 205072, 262891
Mothership & Income: 12952, 47490, 78078, 112656, 151105, 193156

I can also tell you that going to ID 13 would be 40,140,800 - but that is useless on its own.

All I can tell you about UP upgrade atm is this:

1206 -> 1207 8,446,200
1207 -> 1208 8,453,200
1208 -> 1209 8,460,200
1209 -> 1210 8,467,200

Don't have the cash to upgrade anything else right now, but will edit the post with some covert and anti levels later if you like.

UP increases by X every 1 increase right?

The increase is 500*ascension lvl per single increase.

The start cost of UP is 50300*ascension lvl (starting at 100 UP, of course)

So for a lvl 1, the cost of UP at 100 is 50300 for 101 then 50800 for 102 then 51300 for 103 etc etc you get my point.

I need the formula that allows for that increase! So annoyed I can't remember it!

lvl1: UP cost for next = current*500+300
... not sure if that's what you were looking for?

I believe that a full formula for single UP cost is:

300 * asc level + 500 * current UP * asc lvl

Can anyone confirm that this formula is correct?

Mine is correct but I believe your isn't

I'm on asc 16 and I have 1 630 UP and server says that cost of next UP is 13,044,800.

By your formula:
[50,300*(Ascension level)]+[(Desired UP-100)* (500*Ascension Level)]
50,300 * 16 + (1,631 - 100) * 500 * 16
804,800 + 1,531 * 8,000
804,800 + 12248000 = 13052800
Which is incorrect (or it's correct but for increasing UP from 1631 to 1632).

Your version of the formula should be:
[50 300*(Ascension level)]+[(Current UP-100)* (500*Ascension Level)]

It's working for me... the reason might be the add in top of the page, i had to close it before entering anything (I put in on server I use sometimes - free but adds are annoying :/)
