It's great to read history like that written by the people who've lived played it.
Thanks Svarun and welcome back!

Nope. He's extremely hard to get a hold of. But then again he has a very good reason though.

Re: Blue One
What you guys accomplished with the formation of TL was remarkable. The true skill is that the whole plan was successfully kept secret from CoP right up until CIA responded. We caught a lot of CoP members by surprise in the sheer numbers of players joining in against them in such a short time frame. They were always prepared and happy for war, but this was on another scale. On our side, the feeling of being a part of CIA was absolutely incredible. It's something the game had not seen before or since. The real "standing up" to the big bullies and everyone doing their part to see it through to the end in a very tough fought war.
As I recall it, TÅF were one of the final members of CIA to commence agressive action against CoP. We joined in 4 or 5 days after CoP declared war on The Legion. TA members were raring to join in from the off-set, but it was a strategic decision that we would wait until the initial strike was over. Then ourselves and The Order join in for a counter-offensive. The Order however, despite having signed to be part of CIA, did not join the war.

EDIT: Also found this: viewtopic.php?f=99&t=65712 - TÅF began massing CoP on the 5th March 2007. I can't find the initial thread with skirmishes between TL and CoP.
The coalition we signed....stood and watch. They waited for our response and it was not until we have fought on our own for some time that finally they were convinced that something can be achieved and the CiA vs COP war started and if we skip the BS part and come to the end of it.

Re: Blue One
That might be because it was a 'split' of TL's main alliance that started attacking CoP under the age old "We are not part of the agreement"-argument.
Was it not Blahh+co's indiscriminate farming that tipped CoP's bucket?

Don't confuse CIA/CoP with the later "server war". There was no agreement between the newly formed TL and CoP in 2007, nor did TL have more than a single alliance at it's formation. Svarun can correct me if i'm remembering it wrong. I believe it was just a few naq hits on CoP for very large amounts of naq that prompted CoP to hit TL (It was standard for CoP to mass a whole alliance for a single naq hit on any of their members). In this case they didn't anticipate the CIA response. In 2008, Blahh left TLE (joined EoB who were at war with DDE) and began farming FUAll, which triggered FUAll into launching the "server war" against TLE and it's allies under The Janus Pact (later: The Task Force).

This was later, possibly even over a year later.

I'm pretty sure we launched the first strike. The naq hits were just signs of the war incoming. There was alot behind the scenes.
In short TL grew to large, but CoP arrogancy left us be for to long.

At the start of the TF/FUAll "server" war.. it was FUAll that launched the first strike. Both sides were debating where/when to make the strike, but we had a NAP. FUAll broke that NAP a few weeks before it expired by launching a massive strike against TLE/TAF/TO. I'm 100% positive on that because I was TÅ HC and was around at the time FUAll started hitting TÅF in the final days of May 2008. The strike caught TA as off guard as possible considering we knew there would be a war. I was writing an essay for uni when they attacked and got an email alert from 311 frantically trying to gather TÅF players online to defend. On our side after many debates we had agreed to wait until the NAP expired before launching any strike; a decision Blahh did not agree with.
We did already have battle plans in place however. Big strikes were built by Doc Holliday (TA) and Extremer (TL) fairly quickly and all FUAll def's fell within the first couple of weeks. Doc did really well with his strike, I believe his sig still shows his kills from the start of the TF/FUAll "server" war. Extremer didn't get as much use out of his strike as FUAll sat on him very effectively. TA did everything possible to protect Doc. Once the defs were down Doc went on vac and kept his strike a couple of months into the war, incase FUAll built up again.

Re: Blue One
Ahh! Yes. I was breaking my brain over what agreement that would have been, this explains it.
It has been a while.
Thanks for the reminders.
