Anyone care to explain how MS battles work? Are there any recent MS guides maybe? I have so many questions lol

Do fleets serve any tactical purpose other than conquering planets? Really expensive fodder to protect units maybe?

Most attackers that pay me a vist seem to invest heavily in MS offensive volley and have very blah defensive shields. Many have 3.5T volley/1.5T shield ratios.

I use 3 turns to mass MS down until the full MS strike power adds to my attack.

Oh my! uses its Nuclear Volley to inflict 6,394,215,095,720 damage, destroying 5026 Energy Shields on xxxx
Blowing through the extended shield defenses, it also destroyed 16265 Pod Volley, and totally destroyed 5,838 fleets!
Kikaz's Oh my! adds 3,444,539,711,720 additional attack onto their ground troops!

xxxx uses its Pod Volley to inflict 1,222,445,384,000 damage, destroying 2453 Energy Shields on Oh my!!


Then when it adds fully or close to it

Kikaz's Oh my! adds 6,255,755,753,000 additional attack onto their ground troops!

I use 15 turns and mass Defense/MS rest of the way..

They add to the MS strike when attacking...

and thus to your strike/defense if your MS is considerably bigger, or you have massed their defense.

Volleys are cheaper to buy, and shields are stronger.. plus if your MS power is entirely in defense it's not going to help you farming/massing much.

Very helpful, thanks. Looks like shields/fleets are only helpful in several controlled situations. The little 1 or 2 hit naq strikes mitigate the defender unit losses. Perhaps only lose 500k defenders instead of 700k, etc.

As a prior trying to grow, this is actually important...laugh.

Imo its a good idea to keep the power of your volleys and shields about even.
