I do not believe the drop off of non alliance seeking new players is due to the fact that do not make friends.

I think they get persecuted into having fun elsewhere.

Okay, advice from someone who doesn't even log in once a week and doesn't know why his MT's don't stack? Okay...

Anyway, saying that his account could be built in an hour or two is not true at all. You can't possibly hope to actually build any decent stats from a 23/23 covert that won't be taken instantly if in war. It takes a fair amount more time to get to a level where you can do anything to war accounts.

(I tried doing it name by name but who would be bothered to read their own words and my response.)

Of course I need to learn more before I can fight anyone.

I repeat NOT going to join an alliance. (generous bribes or a mutual understanding might tempt me to collaborate)
Loving the feedback and information I am receiving from various alliance members, I am simply not the belonging kind.

Those who have been reading recognise that I am looking for a fifth estate solution, discovering ways that a lone wolf can thrive, holding up a finger to the powers that be, in order that fun can be had without belonging, and consequently bringing more fun to them as well as the outsiders by a more vigorous interaction.

I like a bit of pain... don't mind so much which end of the whip I am on.

Trying something new will have those who are sure they are right in treading the same old path thinking you are a fool, because they believe in their own borrowed wisdom more than they are paying attention to the possibilities that they never bothered imagining.

Just as true for Eddison or Einstien as the bloke who decided to check out if it was faster headbutting his way through a mountain as it was climbing it or walking round it.

And yes an alliance of the independents... as soon as I work out how to herd cats I'll be right on that. It's been tried before, usually fails quickly.
I am looking more for anarcho-sindicalism.

I cant agree with you. We created TPP, had no rules. Just basic conduct. Every member was free to do what he wnated, alliance diplo was almost none. Alliance orders none... and we were allaince of the year. It quit because we were bored... as usual I sold account and created new, played few days as a newbie and than moved forward again.

It can be played how I told you in other post. Just find enough lone wolfs... those willing to fight. Those not bothering if they loose something

Well, to be fair, for a large percentage of it's run, you had upwards of a 100t defense and at the time, the highest covert level in the game.

I am figuring there are a few things that are required before embarking on this project.

A few patrons, to help with deep knowledge of the game. Possibly some finance.

Some strategies for personal growth without participating in the "join an alliance, get farmed, waste money on defense" paradigm.

I am checking out the big farm,/raid for UU approach at the moment.
Seems to be working for me.

I am assuming there will be an equally or more effective system in the pure farming approach.

6.7 K UU / turn = 2,684,563,758 NAQ @400 b/mUU is my current raiding prospects.

An equal /turn income from farming?
Assuming a 9 turn war/war farming run.

Assuming full 15 turns.

Much better immediate pay off. Not to mention that 40 b targets are easy to find, whereas 6.7 UU/turn is sort of hard.
Some medium term advantage in holding the asset as UU not NAQ, especially for the people hiding low in the ranks where UU is a relatively protected asset, especially with NOX.
