Unit production

So it is like this at the begining you have one unit production per day but I guess in reality that means one per turn but then you upgrade your unit production to >25 per day< so wouldt that meant 25 per turn it seems not cause I dont get so many per turn I get still one. So what is then the whole idea?
And if this is not a way to increase your untis production per turn what is it( or are there just two mercaneries and officers)

you don't get it per turn, which is ever half hour, you get those units per day. now the units u get, u earn naquada (the amount based on ur race) per turn.

if u have 24 units a day then u will get them split throught the day, so if u had 24 u woulg get 1 every 2 turns, i get 21 every turn so that means i get loads
