I think any and all accounts that have IP exceptions should list the associated accounts in a successful spy report.
Similar to how spying on ascended reveals the main account ID, spying an account that shares an IP exception with another account(s) should list them, call it 'close diplomatic ties' or something similar.
I would also suggest that any account that shares an IP address with another account in say the past x amount of time (say 1 or 2 weeks for example) also be listed.

Visibly link all accounts that have IP exceptions.

Re: Visibly link all accounts that have IP exceptions.
IP exceptions do not work account-to-account.
A single account has an IP exception (blanket), allowing it to trade with any account it would have shared an IP with (ever).
To illustrate:
Player A, B and C have shared an IP.
Player A has requested (and received) an IP exception.
Player A can trade with Player B and C.
Player B can trade with Player A, but not with C (IP-conflict).
Player C can trade with Player A, but now with B (IP-conflict).
Your suggestion is well meant, but impractical.

I'm curious for the reason behind the suggestion, it's not really needed and serves not much of a purpose except knowing when thy enemy may be online (assuming you're tracking the movements of the other player tied into the IP).

what if you live with someone but do not have an ip exception with them, but use friends to trade resources?

Re: Visibly link all accounts that have IP exceptions.
Then you obviously would not appear in the 'network'.zach obourn wrote:what if you live with someone but do not have an ip exception with them, but use friends to trade resources?
After so many account trades/swaps.. that network would be almost everyone in the game.
I do not think this would be very useful, considering that to those who need to judge multi vs regular cooperating players, it is already quite clear who is who. There does not seem to be 'another' point to it.
I would sooner see the Broker trades made public, rather than this. (Due to the records being too extensive, and ~40% of accounts being linked to each other at some point.)
