Actually mate, you're wrong there. After I proved just how much $ influenced Q, Teyla put together a petition to ban selling resources for naq on Q. I saw the chance and forced Jason into minimizing what USSs give (otherwise he'd ban selling resources for $ so that people can stand on equal ground, yet allow for USSs which did exactly the same as selling resources for $, the only difference being that money from USS went to him). One USS gives 3 days worth of ATs (granted, still more than I wanted to get it down to, but you can't have everything I guess), the UUs and naq - it's minimum.
Right now Q is, by far, the game which is the least influenced by $ (within games owned by Jason, of course). Even ascended is influenced more by $ than Q as someone can feed you DMU in ascended. In Q - well 3 of us game cops make sure that those that try to feed get punished (yes, we've got the ban button) as feeding is illegal. Since we were appointed there has been almost no feeding, except in the first era we were appointed at beginning.
I have won 2 eras out of last 4 which is when feeding was banned and game cops were selected, and USSs had so little effect. Haven't spent a dime and those that came close did purchase up to 3 USSs, I believe. So right now if you want a game where $ mean literally nothing and where skill is all that matters - Q is the one for you
