Share some light on this, please.
So there is no definite prize, and I honestly can't really show a prize because I don't know how long people will stay alive for.
Mind you, this is literally the 3rd point (out of three points) in the guidelines...
So we can all do nothing for a year and then kill everyone and the bonus would be crazy ?

Re: Tournament 11: ???
Bit of confusion with the prizes (and whether or not you should join due to lack of activity), it's best you do join regardless because the prizes are based on a summation of time spent in the arena (i.e you will probably all get the same one).
Confusing? More people in there = bigger possible prize for you.

no, we all start of with same amount of turns.. its not like playing your own account at all.. your actually account goes on hiasis until you are knocked out ..

Section Admins - who will be 'in charge' of the section in question. They will be responsible for the overall feel of the section, the setup/structure, and most importantly the community/users in the section. This will incorporate the old 'ombudsman' role. And insofar as the Section Admin is responsible for the users, they are also responsible for the high level mod behaviour towards the users.
So -as a user - if you have an issue with how you are treated, rules, bans, whatever --goto the section admin... They are there for you!
There is no 'reporting structure' in this setup -- tech, mod, and section admins are all on equal footing, each with their own (somewhat overlapping) responsibilities.
Mods report directly to the mod admin, and indirectly to the section admin for the section in which they mod.

That in mind, some things ARE used from your 'normal' account, CS, powerups etc. General resources are standardized.fem fatale wrote:anytime within the next 2 days, ie before it actually commensesCaprila wrote:.1. Does it make any difference when you actually sign up ?

Re: Tournament 11: ???
There isn't really... there are 4 different types of arenas, deathmatch, team deathmatch, race war and this new one.Caprila wrote:Thank you
I hope there's tournament for dummies guide somewheres)
Deathmatch, you kill anyone and everyone, to 'kill' someone you need to get their defence and defence planets to under 15 bill and 500k (I think
That's basically the idea, the general gameplay is sped up, you gain more turns and income per TC, you unphase faster (and every time you login you completely unphase). Once there are like 10 people left, you get double turns per turn.
Once the arena start countdown hits 0 you have 12 hours to decide when you want to join (obviously the earlier you join the more turns and income you get compared to others). After 12 hours everyone is forced in.
team deathmatch is basically like the one above, except you pick a 'unit' to be in at the start (instead of waiting to be thrown in, when you sign up you enter a lobby where everyone who joined is listed, you can make a unit, request players to join etc). The difference in mechanics between the two is in your unit you only have designated functions you can use, your leader can set what attacks you can do (which is obviously restricted).
Prizes for deathmatch are given out based on what rank you got, prizes for team deathmatch is similar but your team is ranked, not just singular people, and the prize is given to all of your members in the unit.
Race war is like deathmatch except it's based on your race.
And of course, you start off with standardised resources with your powerups and CS coming from your 'normal' account. To counteract a bit of the massive difference in sizes, the average powerup is taken and anyone under gets extra planets based on how little they are (there is a max to what they can get).
The general idea was to basically have a sort of fast paced war, sort of like the old days on main when you took shifts watching logs and repairing and such
This new one, well obviously people are about to find out. Usually on the signup page there is a guideline list that tells you a brief layout of what is changed from normal gameplay.
