Is there a way to ascend other than waiting to gather the necessary GNR? I thought you could buy or use MT to achieve this, but I do not know where to look.

You would go from level x to x
The Gods only listen after you have done 3 of your own ascensions, and will not take you over the maximum ascensions of 23.

You cannot otherwise speed up ascensions.
