I always wanted them to make the show SG: Ascension explaining that plain, the ORI, the Ancients, how it functions and stuff.

Who said anything about Ganos Lal ascending Adria? You dont absolutely need another ancient to ascend somebody. It is possible to ascend all by yourself. Rodney even came close to ascending in Atlantis.

granted, that was the case for the original ancients, it's certainly possible to ascend on your own, though you'd need to be physically able to do so.

Adria was created for exactly that purpose, to be more advanced than the priors, who themselves were further along the road to ascension than the plain old humans/jaffa and be able to ascend if/when necessary

Oma merely helped Anubis/Shifu/Daniel/Abydonians/Daniel and countless others ascend who hadn't reached a level of evolution that would allow them to do so naturally.

no, it doesn't, Oma does say in the eternal café that not all of the 'others' are ancients, presumably, the others consist of ancients and other species who developed the ability to ascend,

It's likely to be a rule that is upheld by the community as a whole because of the possible effects an ascended being would have should they interfere with the lower realm (think Ori and even Anubis)

You make an excellent point. The Ori interfere with the lower planes heavily. I just thought I remembered watching an episode where they referenced having to follow the rules because you were helped to ascend as opposed to doing it yourself naturally. Adria was highly evolved so she would have the ability to do this. Also she couldnt care less about the rules of the others even though she ascended in the Milky Way galaxy. It stands to reason that this would apply to anyone ascending on their own.

Also important to note is that Ori draw their power from their followers, from their faith, they have to be involved in the lower plains or they are contradicting their own beliefs

Ori are still very powerful ascended beings even without the faith tap they just aren't able to 1 click mass the Milky Way ascended beings. Morgan would have received a serious beat down if not for the ark. While Adria and Morgan are technically an even match without faith tap Morgan is more or less THE UNKNOWN and Adria power leveled to LIVING GOD +2

And as for Anubis you have to remember dying is not a requirement of ascending it's kind of like a snake shedding skin. Those who do not ascend technically die or fade away forever. The circumstances leading up to shedding the skin are irrelevant only the act of doing so matter.

It was my belief that the 'others' were avoiding interfering purely because it'd artificially advance other cultures, we've seen before though, people who have ascended have helped those who haven't (big honkin' space gun) and the results of that (devastation of the planet's civilisation)

Is it possible that the Ori would have been made aware of these civilisations should they reach a certain level of technology? hence the reason why they were not to interfere,

(my thinking here is that, should a civilisation rise up enough to actually challenge the Ori, they'd wipe it out (or convert it, though a culture that's advanced enough to actually challenge them technologically would know that they're not actual gods, no matter what they claim to be) hence the ancients were shielding the other galaxy's from the ori, but it's only possible to a certain point, no matter how much you're being protected, at some point you're going to make too much of a noise)

I'll have to watch Series 9/10 & AoT again before I get too deep on the opinions I could generate from them - on a more in depth nature at least -
