Well technically the "Omegan 'Empire'" and the "Dark Dominium 'Empire'" are empires. It says so in the names, whereas "Terran Family" does not. Personally I always thought it was the type of leadership and/or political system that determined whether or not a particular entity was an empire.

There is no supreme authority for TF. Our High Council is elected with no one HC member having authority over the rest. Every member of TF who has been here for at least 6 months has the right to run for a position on the HC. It has been this way since 2006. There is no Emperor. There is no single leader. Not even a single president since 2006.

Give me some history here guys, I left for 5 years and just came back. Terran Family or whatever you merged with TF , you used to be your own alliance.

Then TAF and all the TL and TDL and your alliance merged to form TF Empire

There was no individual alliance going by TF since late 2006/early 2007. That was Robe's alliance "The Foundation" which merged with The Legion waay back. TF then was used as an acronym for the combined Task Force fighting against FUALL between 2008-2011.

It's essentially the history of TAF + TL and our friends.

After being allies in war and peace for around 8 years, TAF and TL merged in August 2014 to form Terran Family. It seems fitting to continue the family theme because over all of the years TAF and TL worked and fought alongside each other so closely.

TAF have a history of quite a few mergers since roughly 2010. These include BAU, EPA, SK Emperors, Nemesis, TL and more recently SDE. This has happened as the game has shrunk and thus it makes sense for friends to stick together.

No if you all where in ONE alliance called TERRAN FAMILY, then your argument is valid

Regarding the ingame structure of our family, it is ingame only. As a member of TF it does not matter whether your account ingame is in TATS, TAAE, or TL.. you all have the same privileges, access to all of the same chats, forum sections, etc. That is why we are a family and not an empire. There are no divisions; we are not a "group of alliances". We are absolutely all one alliance and thus one family, with an elected council of representatives all of equal status.
