multiing or not multiing?
ok, now i have a question: there are 2realms, and 2 accounts..player A is an active player, player B not. now: player A asks player B if he can uye his resources/market turns..pabyer B agrees and uses his non-used account for this purpose only...and player A has many friends like this...NOW: is this multiing or not? because player A didn't actually logged in into B's account..

Hmmmm...if player B is an inactive account and transfers resources to player A, while at the same time player A gets other resources from other players in the same manner(transfer of resources from people who don't play the actual game...player B, C, D, E, etc.; accounts just there to give resources to another...player A or others), I think it would fall under this category from the Game Updates page:
"November 16, 2005:
'Resource Farms' Limits
It has been noticed that some accounts exist solely to gain resources, in order to sell to other players via paypal or ebay or whatever. This disrupts the balance of the game, goes against the principles of the point of the game, and is no longer going to be allowed.
While the occiasional sale of 'excess' goods is not going to be chased after, any account that is clearly abusing this will be in violation and subject to penalty, suspension or deletion."
While resources are not being sold exactly, the player accounts B, C, D, etc. exist entirely to gain resources to give to Player A or others. It's almost splitting a hair in that one person doesn't have two accounts, but in essence that's what it is. An account is just being used to give resources to another player, therefore it's main purpose for still existing is to gain resources to give without actually playing the game. Money changing hands I think is besides the point. In principle the purpose of an account that is used to sell resources for cash, and an account that is just being used to give resources to another player is the same. It main purpose is to not play the game but move resources to other players.
Player A, B, C, D, etc. may be able to argue that there is some sort of barter system happening, in that player B give resources to player A, and A help player B out in real life. While this may be the case, bartering is a form of trade, and a transaction in the eyes of the government*(a.k.a. legally). It seems like a resource farm and not a multi account(which is not looked at lightly as well), as defined as:
"gamewide announcement: 'Multies' are not allowed...What is a multi/multi account?:
A multi is 2 or more accounts, ACCESSIBLE and USED BY one person
Example: 5 accounts, at a school, that any one of 3 people can access while at school.
Example2: 2 accounts, both used by Person A, although account 2 was created by person B.
Not a multi: 3 accounts at a house, 3 different users, and the accounts are NOT shared or accessible to more than one user each (the computer can be, but not the game account itself).
Above is the definition of a multi account, so there should be no confusion if accounts are suspended as such."
If my reasoning is correct, and you have done the deed, I suggest coming clean and telling friends to come clean. Sometimes, as seen in court, when someone pleads guilty for a crime they commited, rather than innocent, they don't get punnished as harshly(generally speaking).

edit: to include more info.
*I posted this link on another thread, and it seems fitting to post again. It is worth a listen, as to what someone's research has uncovered regarding online games, trades, money, and the government.

Spacey covered the Technicall explination extremely well, leaving me to say this for future cases: Just because you find a loophole, or something not completly covered by the fairly expansive new rules remember:
The Spirit, not the letter of the Law.
On a (very, very, very) basic level, if you are getting something from nothing,
you are not being good.
And, because Forum and Gamemod are not some crappy AI from your PC games, they will be more than happy to conform and adapt the rules in order to dish out punishment.
You're smart, (well, most of you are) just dont do it!
