This math will make your head numb:

I've wracked my brain thinking about this personally. Does anyone have answers to these questions? If someone answers and you wanna contribute, answer me again!! I need a cornucopia of responses! Sometimes one can make more sense than another! Just number the answers accordingly:

1.How much does each level add to covert rating?

2. How much does each spy add to rating? If its different for each level
what are the values of each level of covert?

3. If I had a higher rating than a higer level player, could I sucessfully spy/sab that player?

4. Someone answered this long ago but I lost the PM. How exactly does the realm alert increase your covert? What are the values for each level of alert?

5. How much do mercs of offense, defense, and the supersoldiers of both add to given levels? Is it different for each race? Or are the prices the only difference?

6. If someone was my commander simply for the troops, if they were my officer simply for my naq. What are the values of each pay rate I could give them? See, I want them to take advantage of my income, I want them to take advantage of my troops, but they should not set the pay rate so high that they acutally pay me back!!! So, what percent does each pay rate give in troops to a commander?

7. someone is very close to my covert rating and rank. How big is the gap between the victory of my sabs and the failure? BC I've heard that close calls can fail or succeed. Explain this? (use examples I'm higher, and there higher.. etc)

That about wraps it up for now!!

Re: This math will make your head numb:

1. Each level doubles your covert action

2. The value depends on the covert level. It's 2^level per spy.

3. You could, but the question is, would it be worth the losses?

4. I think it's 0%, 10%, 20%, 40%, 70%.

5. You got me on that one. It depends on wether they get weapons. I believe the supersoldiers have twice the power of normal trained troops.

6. That depends completely on how high the combined unit production of your officers is. But remember, technically they don't pay you anything, they still generate the units themselves. The commander just gets them as a bonus.

7. Sabotage is best performed after careful calculation, using the numbers from a spy-log. If your power is very close to theirs, be careful. You might lose more than you destroy, especially if you take the realm alert into account. You stand a good chance of losing, and that will cost you a huge load of spies.

Hope that helps.

As soon as you build an idiot proof system, somebody else builds a better idiot.

If it moves, kill it. If it doesn't move, kick it until it does move, and then kill it.

1. you *can* work this out, it is very very easy
2. each spy will add an amount dependant upon the above answer, so your answer is yes, partially
3. It would more of a success as your superior spies are rewarded for their covert superbity
4. not entirely sure, does it matter? it's mostly used best for stunting naquada production :P
5. Now you are entering into the realms of "the Book only Super Friends of Goo" get to read.
6. Same percentage as it says on the tin 10%, 20%, 30% you pay out, you recieve percentage of troops.
7. If you are close to covert rating, i would not bother... you wil a)have to use mostly every single spy at your disposal and b)10% of them will die thus lowering you to further below your enemy.

...there are no black and white answers to many of your questions, and then again some are simply black and white but you must work it out for yourself, afterall... i wouldn't be where i am today and have the clan of friends i have if i was not very good at figuring things out for myself :)
