A reworking of Ascention

When ascention was first introduced I was led to believe it was to give the best players a new place to play and to bring 'new blood' into the top 10.

I think that Ascention should work like football... a legue system!

Players 1-100 say are on one server and then 101-1000 are in another and then 1001 onwards are in a 3rd.

This would introduce more tactical play as the bulk of the money would be in server1 but all the farms would be in server3!!!

This is only a crude idea of how it would work and mabye there would be terms for promotion and pentalies for relegation???

But I do feel ascention atm is unfair. On TGW homepage it clearly states,
No Resets. And ascentding atm does exacally that.

P.S. Before anyone starts makeing acusations, I am not having a go at Admin in anyway! I think they have, are and will run(ning) a fantastic mmolrpg and forum. No Resets. And ascentding atm does exacally that.

ascension is a diffrent game,a game you can only gain access to via main it does'nt reset your account without you wanting it

ascending is your choice if your stupid enough not to want it then thats you problem no one is force'n you to ascend

and if you want to ascend you will have to pay the price i dont think that will ever change and i dont think this idea will get off the ground

Neo - you misunderstand completely what 'No Resets' means - it means that the whole game will not be reset such that everyone returns to a brand new account (like Quantum).

For ascension - it is very clear that if you ascend then your (individual account) is reset (save for lifers). Rather trhan think of it as a reset - it is actually that your person (account) has left the MAIN realm and ascended to the ASCENDED realm. Think of the reset account as a follower of your ascended being, and a new player to the game, with bonuses bestowed upon him by his god.

As JIX said - the choice is yours to ascend or not - so it is totally fair.

Might I also suggest that the place to suggest making changes to The Ascended game si within teh Ascension forums and not in here.

I'm confused now - originally I thought you were talking about tiering ascension, but now I think you are talking about main??

All well and good - but how do you decide if someone gets transferred to another tier? Is there an end of season where the top 10 in one server are promoted and the bottom 10 of another demoted?

Also - who pays for all these extra servers?

As for new blood - I agree - initially it should have been made much harder to reascend - maybe costing double or triple the amount of G&R than for first ascension - but this alone would not have stopped ascendees gaining the top ranks quickly as it has been done by transferring resources prior to ascension. To change any of these points now would be unfair.

But - it has to be said that there are some non ascendees amongst the top ranks - and generally these are the players who have worked to be there and have not really complained that things are not fair.

I have not ascended, and will not complain about anything not being fair.

I made a decision that was mine alone to make, to focus on army size and UU and not ascend for the time being.

I will not complain about ascended players being stronger because, they lost alot of resources to get where they are.

They were stronger then me before ascension started, and they are stronger then me now, which makes perfect sense.

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE the Non-Ascended players ranked seperate from the ascended in the same type of way as alliances etc... are ranked....

so i could look at top 100 ascended or top 100 non-ascended players or maybe top 100 1st ascenders or top living gods i dont know

it would be cool to see the top 10 non-ascended players in an easy to look at ranking.........but this would do nothing to change gameplay just give priors or messiahs something to compete for going im #1 4th ascended player etc... I dont know

all there are pretty new compared to me and alot of other players hell one of them is ranked no.1

In various games there are ladders of competition. Everyone competes on the same server, but are ranked on various ladders.

So are you thinking of like a combined list, ascended list, and non ascended list?

If that is the case that is not hard to do. But if it is more then a lookup it could get really messy.

Well i play this game for 5 months or so! and learn a lot to know raking means nothing, i'm in the ranh 80 now just for fun, will son go back to hig ranks to farm, u id is like 8k, hane one crapy arm of 650k and non-ascended, u must suck in this game!!!

when u assend u should get more bonus's like one miner gives u 100 nuq a turn and yeah just cus it is getting harder to assend so there should be more reward for doing it
