I might add that there is a quota of military activity in one realm within a certain range of time in the secret server. Then there is an idea that can be inspired by the Chaos server. Once a person has been attacked a number of times within a certain time range (as I said, inspired; Chaos only does this with attacks such as superweapon attacks), the player is given PPT for a few hours (3-4?).
None of these idea please me all that much, but they are better in my eyes than what the author of this thread is suggesting. Personally I'd just lower the damage done by attacks so that it costs more for an attacker to do damage. Also, I'd raise the attack/defense ratio required to inflict damage.
But, whatever, there are strategies that one can adopt not only to avoid being "massed", but also to be able to better recover from the punishment and administrate one's realm in a way that makes "massing" either useless or not cost effective.

Well haveing been massed twice, and done countless massings myself(mostly of banned accounts so that I can raid them of UU), I would say that massing is pretty much the only way of doing war. Unless someone was to create a sort of "Life" that could be damaged through attacks. Much like what I think the secret server will have soon. But a massing isn't impossible to recover from. There's a few key things in your account that cant be destroyed. Your UP, your spy levels, of course technologies, income, bank, and mothership slots. that's plenty to recover with. I've done it twice.

I am willing to alter my proposal or go with another proposal entirely. What I want to see is a game that allows the person getting attacked the opportunity to try to defend himself and retaliate before he is completely destroyed. It is possible that this would cause more damage and loss of naq in the long run, but at least there is an element of warfare involved, unlike the current system where a person can be destroyed without even knowing about it for several hours. And I agree with whoever said that those who are against this proposal are merely scared to try another way to play the game, one that requires more skill and forethought than their current methods of blunt mass attacking.

sorry agapook but then you could just have an incredibly low def as some do to stay low ranked and get someone to waste 50 turns 1 hitting you and all youd have to do is foot the repar bill (which would be uner a mil naq) and boom ppt for a while for a fraction of the price) and lets be fair you lose 0 uu when you have a small def
