G&R RANKS

I know alot of people talk about how too many are getting G&R and I don't think it should be changed to certain ranks get G&R, I think having a % of players getting it is right.

Now here's what I propose, for example say total players are 50000 and it's 2% of that so 1000 ranks get G&R, how about everyone that ascended be excluded from the total count, so say 1000 have ascended then total players would only be 49000 and therefore only 980 get G&R, I know that's not much of a difference but as more ascend total amount would go down, and so would G&R ranks.

exept that I believe that the amount of acount that are created and the abandoned would surpase thoughs that ascend.

Would that not make it harder for non-ascended accounts to get G&R, since you are reducing it from 1000 to 980 and, generally, ascended accounts get back into the G&R 'ranks' very easily?

Or have I misunderstood completely?? :-D

It is easier especial if you did not have full ss before ascending. There is lots to be made off the black market.

it is a great idea, gold it should get hard even if it is a small amount in the end it will even it self out any way, i say bring it on PLEASE!

I think you missed the point of the arguments against - it is quite easy to get back into the G&R ranks after you have ascended - if you do it correctly - therefore this idea would make it even harder for non-ascended accounts to get into the G&R ranks.

u lost me. so this is what i think is happening to assend the first time u hav to be in the top 2% then the second time it is harder and so on. any waay i am lost and i cant be stuffed reading the thingy's again i all i know is it should be harder the second time not hte first

well heres a random idea(of which im full of):
what about making it so that like the top 2% of acended players get g&r points AND SEPERATELY the top 2% of non ascended get g&r points
just an idea

Not a bad suggestion - but with one major flaw - the top 2% of ascended players will already be living gods - meaning no other ascended players can get G&R! :wink:

hmmm.... how about u rule them out of the equation? they cant ascend anymore so g&r point are only there to brag, how about the top 2% of those who can ascend get g&r points?

gooseman - beacuse you can ascend if you have already ascended - disallowing those who have already ascended to ascend again would be stupid - becaus eall those who have already ascended 6 times would dominate.

lord coyle - because Emperor Martin's way is fundamentally flawed and would actually make it HARDER for non ascended accounts to ascend for the first time. (As stated previously)

I think only 0.5-1% of players should get GnR points, make it more of a challenge.

no what i meant was disallow those who have already ascended 6 times not the whole lot
