If someone stays in Vacation mode forever in Ascension, don't you think it means that as soon as the option becomes available, they will descend?

Many people find it boring up there, and take no pride in being farmed and made someones b***h due to their own lack of interest in the server.

I realize it would be annoying if your enemy were to "hide" on vacation mode perminantly, evading attacks, but that really only displays their cowardice for all to see.

For others, its fueled by lack of commitment, interest or one too many games to maintain. Also... the posibility that someone actually leaves their home for more than a day... pfft... like that happens.

no ppt is fine with me BUT no vacation mode despite abuses is bad. i occasionally have vacations and times when i cannot play for 2+ days. i should not be destroyed if i cannot play.

Instead of getting rid of vac mode why not just make it like main were you are required to be on for a sertain amount of time that way people can't just jump on and off.

Problem with that is, people like Nebulator would mass for example ETL. then went went Vacation mode forever, until his account was deleted. That's why I propose we link them. That way if lets use me for example, go to my home in New York for lets say a week. I enter Vacation in main, it auto puts me in Vacation mode in Ascended, if I came out on either server both servers Vacation mode ends.

Not necessarily. It's become clear that there are players up here who are only here for the bonus to thier main accounts. So no, those players will not descend voluntarily. Instead, they will stay in vacation mode, reaping the benifits on Main while suffering no risk at all.

Not necessarily. It's become clear that there are players up here who are only here for the bonus to thier main accounts. So no, those players will not descend voluntarily. Instead, they will stay in vacation mode, reaping the benifits on Main while suffering no risk at all.

The one thing you need to remember is that when forum comes out with deascention it would be quiet easy for the big players to eliminate all the newly ascended account which would be unfair so to allow them to remain they would go on vac mode I mean that might not be the best option but their needs to be a way for the new players to remain safe in ascention and not have to worry about being deascended over night.

There is a time limit of how long you must be ascended for before you can be decended. So with thast said, before i disagree I'll await your response.

You and I have talked about this Su. Frankly I found the 90 day safe period to be a total joke. All of these games we are playing are strongly tied to the length of time you have been playing. With no trading the Ascended server is even stronger tied to length of time played then any of the other ones.

I agree that there is in many of our opinions abuse going on. I would instead of going this route recommend that people's main account receieves some benefit by being active in ascended. This would get more people playing on ascended. This other route is going to keep everyone away, and having played on empty servers before I know that it gets to boring.

So I am in favor of promoting active play on ascended. But lets not scare everyone off the server

It is in no way scaring them off, its quite the other way around, it promotes people to play. Not to mention we are unsure of how decesntion even works yet. There will most likely be more limiation in place to prevent it from being a very easy thing.

I forgot to add, with the wars that do go on, and the style involved, your account can be knocked back into the stone age. So power is much harder to gain and keep.

One thing that also is worrisome to me is that often new features come out and they are not tested. Usually they have to be tweaked to bring some sort of balance. So how to you descend someone with some unbalanced implementation and then "fix it".

I am not against the concept, but it is not just some casual thing that is implemented.
