My commander is about to re-ascend and so he dismissed everyone in preperation for that. I went to make myself my own commander and got this message:
You allegiance is to your alliance -being its leader- first and foremost. You will not dilute that allegiance with a commander.
I'm sorry, but what? I can see not allowing an alliance leader to have a commander from outside the alliance, but to not even be able to benifit from the UP boost of being your own commander? I don't get the intent of that part of this "enhancement."

If you are leader of an alliance, you cant make get a new commander. It sucks, but that is the way it is.
