Ok then...how do other people get into alliances?

on the base screen just under the relm alert there is a link called Alliance

a player can ask to join an alliance from the alliance ranking screen, just find the alliance you want, and click the "ask to join" button on the right side of the screen.

The easiest options

First up, make a recruitment topic here.
Try and make it as detailed, but at the same time 'catchy' as possible.
If people think your alliance offers enough, they may join.

The second way takes a bit of effort.
Basically, browse through the rankings in-game.
Look for players that are not in an alliance.
Send them a polite PM explaining about your allaince, it's recruiting and other needed information.
Many players will reply, some will join, others won't.

But, trust me when I say it is hard to get an alliance onto it's feet and moving.
