who knows? perhaps its just another thing to work on, i mean without a mothership the only areas we actually have to work on are covert, attack and defence. i also think i has something to do with the game being weird without any reference of a mothership even though all 4 ships actually have the technology to use interstellar travel.

motherships are only good for the reason they add attack to your main force

I switch mine out.
When I am letting it just sit for rank, which with the new updates won't be often lol, I use Hades Gate.
When i build it up for massings and such I rename it to Account Killer.
