PPT again Reeb?
My attack says "XXXX Drone Satallite Array deploy from and encircle the mothership!"
I'm not sure if this is part of the upgrades or not, but the turn times are now offset from the usual x:01, x:31 timestamps. Has the turn times now changed into how it is in Quantum (different depending on the time you first register)?
On another note, I agree the planet/mothership upgrade is benefiting the top players, but at the same time it gives a new playground for the top players to play with since they seem to be getting bored lately and massing/having wars with other players like crazy. It sort of like a mini game, if you decide to play this 'planetarian war' mini game, then you better make sure you have a decent income because mothership armamery doesn't come cheap. I'm not sure how much will it cost to raise the stats of the planets, but I imagine it won't come cheap either. If you don't, then don't buy a mothership, or buy a mothership but don't own additional planet because you can't lose what you don't have (and your home planet can't be taken away). Just an advice for the smaller players who by this time is probably going "Sh*t, I don't have a mothership!"

I've been growing bored myself. I must say...Thank you Forum for this upgrade. Most shout bad at the top players. But consider this, once you reach a certain point, certain things happen:
1. you lose more guys in a farm then the farm is worth.
2. repair bills take most of the farmed naq, even if it's over a bil naq.
3. lol, attack the wrong person, and they get mad, then you have to destroy them. Which is only fun until it is over.
Anyhow, i'm very much happy with some of these upgrades. Raiding started after I attained a high rank, then, the raiding limits happened. NOW, my UP investments look like they shall pay off

Sometimes some of the mods will try to step on you, or even mod your section. My advice is to fill a sock with marbles and hit them repeatedly until they stop. - Pianomutt2000.urban assault wrote: Bill? Hey, I said I was kidding! Bill, don't push that red button!

I wouldn't say the top players are bad exactly, they probably are, they probably aren't, I wouldn't know *shrug* Getting bored when you're up the top is pretty natural, especially when you've ascended 6 times and going... what else to do now? Not sure how life is in the ascended game, but from what I've heard it sounds like a retirement home up there (a retirement home with class and lots of sparkly stuffs). As a non-top player who's only just a little bit bored though, sometimes I do wish some of you practice some self-restraint, some of the war threads were just getting old
But! That's neither here nor there.
The raiding bit, I'll keep this short since it's OT from upgrades, my commander when s/he's not going down the ranks to raid, s/he trades with my officers who has full SS or sends ATs and naquadah to them and get them to raid. For the purpose of gaining UU, this works, but I suppose for the enjoyment of raiding, it probably doesn't.
And if it wasn't obvious already, thank you Forum for the upgrades, it's brilliant
It threw a major monkey wrench on my Ascension plans, but I don't mind.

The sad part is that this update mostly benefits those that already are 6x ascended and have A HUGE AMOUNT of miners...
I mean, if we can´t raid and farm efficient, only those that already got 10mi++ of miners will be seen in the top ranking.
It really doesn´t matter if any of those guys get massed, they have the turn income to rebuild..
Just to put what I´m talking about into perspective.. I spy a lot and well 50+ milion miners do exist... I have nothing bad to say about that but clearly a good gameplay by someone, but this update has just made it clear who the top dogs are going to be in this game - period...
And therefore in my opionion, it looks like this update may itself be a much larger problem than the problem it´s trying to solve.
As, script should be detected by statistics.. there are ways to make shure that the server detects 99% of those few that are using scripts and I´m shure most of the rest 1% will show up eventually.. aka not a good reason to make shure that me and the bulk of the other gamers has no chance of reaching the top unless the top dogs get bored and quit the game....
I agree with you here, from a personal point of view I'm screwed where raiding is concerned. Since I'm 1 of the more senior players here (age wise) my time is limited so the extra time needed to raid has increased my onlinetime by a factor of 6.
From a server point of view it means that players now take up more resources on the server because of the extra time needed to raid, attack for naq, etc. So band width will become a problem eventually.
Massing will also be a problem, it will take longer and the top players will survive it (because of the new rules) where as players with less resources will remain in the lower ranks, I find this very unfair.
The new rules seem to benefit those that already have huge resources and the defences to back them up, so far I have not seen a potential leveling of the playing field that benefits all players.
On a positive note I'm looking forward to seeing how this new planet exploration thing goes. (nice update)
Thanks for the hard work forum but I think the delays are terrible.
I think an update that is based on players naq production, covert/anti, def, UP, Mothership, etc (basically everything) would be more in order. If you think about it this way "the more you have the more you have to administrate" so on this basis players with lower everything should benefit more in order to help them grow, suggestions on this would be welcome.
I say this even though I have a medium army (just short of 5 mill) in the hopes that those less fortunate than I would get on better in the game.

Freestyle304 wrote:If non-detectable scripts is one of the biggest reasons for the 15 second delay - how hard would it be to add a 15 second delay to the undetectable script. Honestly, while I will continue to play by hand just as we are all supposed to do, a script sounds more inviting now than it did before.
I'm a raider - it will add hours to my gameplay time to do the same thing now. I don't have hours more to give to this game. Hours is not an exaggeration. I can spend 15k turns in a sitting raiding - more i suppose, but 15k is not hard at all. under the new system (15 turn attack - 15 second delay) - that's 4 hours and ten minutes just of delay. Kind of excessive.
I've played other games that allow scripts. Got boring with no one ever around and people's computers playing each other! Still, to go out to a movie, maybe see X-Men 3 since I haven't gotten around to it, then get a bite to eat - all while a script raids away every 15 seconds - it's more appealing than it was.
If people are running scripts admin can't detect - let them. I don't care. I can compete with that now. I can't compete if it will take me 4 hours more per raiding run!
Sigh
Freestyle304 and his loose change (that had to be more than 2 cents)
sry too say that i agree with this guy I dont have more time too spend on this Game and yes using a script now sounds more inviting too me than it did before your added the 6 sec delay...
at least alow us too maybe use more than 15 turns a raid if your gona delay us make the amount used alot higher and add a code like banking
that should stop the scripts and alow us too raid our 20x15 turns in 1 go..
all raiders would be happy i think

Forum, or someone that has sent his MS on a mission. Does my rank fall while it is away? Coz I'm a bit unsure ... it does not fight with you while it's away but does it still count into ranking?
I did read most of this thread but I might have missed it, do I loose a planet if I ascend?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but your MS doesn't actually add to your overall rank does it? I thought it has it's own rank, but the overall rank is determined by the strike, defence and covert/anti covert action ranks!?!
