Nameing Of Planets

With the new ability of searching out planets to conquer I wanted to be able to name them to make them my own. As I doubt anyone has one extra yet I dont know how the naming thing works but I will put in my suggestion now for people to shoot down later.

Planets should be given the identification system used by the SGC (i.e. P4X-321) and you should be able to rename the planet as you see fit (well it is your own!) If the planet is taken from you then the default ID should be reinstaed. This should also work for homeworlds.

Good work on the upgrade, I look forward to seeing how it all pans out.

The homeworlds are unconquorable, therefore, they don't need an ID.

but it'd be nice to NAME them. because they do have a name, currently every homworld in the game is named HOMEBASE.

I think the initial post was talking about additional planets anyway - not the home planet. (but I see no reason why the home planet could not be named).

From what I saw in the test server, Captured planets CAN be named, i changed the name of mine.

BUT the initial planet could not be changed.

do we know that they cant be named yet? because as far as i know no one has got a planet yet so lets wait and see if we can name them

If the planets are the same as they were during testing, they already come with the SGC naming system. You can rename them after you get them. Forum is way ahead of us all on this one.
