Question about Planets and race changes...

I couldn't find a question like this around, maybe i'm typing in the worng key words to search for an anwser to this question, but...

Does anyone know that if you accend, or you deside to change races, do you lose your planet(s)?

While no one has tried it yet;
the general concensus has been that they would not stay when ascending.
They might stay if you switch races...
