Another merc question

damnit, i hate asking but can i do this:

example: train 500k regular troops ie:jaffa raiders then buy as many mercs as i want then untrain them, or is it whatever merc% control of SS only?

Regular trained.

You can only have 25 percent (base of 25 plus 0 percent in upgrades) of your trained troops as mercenaries. Beyond that, you do not have enough troops loyal to you to ensure compliance to your orders.

Of course, it is possible forum was just being lazy... but I don't believe they need to be SS.

dun forget to add in the 10 extra mercs u can get with no merc control levels...the 10 increases with higher merc control levels ^_^

Definitely not SS only, my officer did that (train, buy mercs, untrain), but different races have different percentage of mercenary control. Highest I know is a Replicator.

yes indeed, it is possible, a friend did so, as a scare tactic...

Yeah, it's possible. Dark Bahamut did it for attacking. He has some 180K Mercs, but only like 45K Supers.

It is funny because I noticed he had 5K loses, but I didn't realize that they were caused by Mercs.
