As you said the problems with phones needs to be addressed a mroe phone freindly website can be developed to adapt to the technologically growing world, but just because phones can no longer be used to login doesnt meant the update should imediatly be taken away but maybe other features adapted to suite the phones.

Im sure cheaters will find ways aroudn things they always do, but forumn needs to try his best to get rid of them , otherwise he may aswell just disabanden the rules.

ok in going to spell this out for youl. This adds unnessary strain on the server and is easily bypassable. and it also adds to the loading time for the site. not to mention its a graphic that needs infromatino and needs to be checked. i understand that there is a need to get rid of cheaters but this doesn't do it.

You know what... Forum... I have an ingenius idea... lets infect all the users with keyloggers so that we can tell who is cheating

When the security that prevents cheaters harms the normal player, then we have issues. Like all those copy protected CDs. They don't stop the pirates, they are just an inconvience to the everday consumer.

When the prevention mechanism becomes intrusive to where the honest player is inconvienced, then the mechanism needs to be looked at and a new one put into place.

This will stop some cheaters , if you make it so the game logs out on the turn then itll stop all sleep scripters , this may make it slightly inconvient for people but alas it is nessecary to stop the cheats.

Slightly inconvinient? I'd say it would be a complete lala up! Everyone booted off at the end of a turn then, everyone all trying to log on at the same time so they can attack. If something like that came along it would be the death of this game.

Wait....maybe I don't get the joke. Your post says "Post counts don't make you look cool no matter what your mother tells you". So, the joke would be that people who spam just to get high posts counts don't look cool. Therefore post count doesnt really matter.

Yet you pick on Blue Anders specificially because of his low post count, whereass your signature would signify that you either didn't care. Or you only don't care about people with posts counts higher then yours.

So let me get this right if this update stops one cheater (who is too stupid to bypass this new update) but also stops 50 or more honest players it is, in your opionin, worthwile. To me this seems like an too much for too little gain. Also just for the record, the deciding factor for me to support the game and buy ss was the fact that I could log in through my phone and check on my account now that this "bug" is fixed I feel cheeted. I won't ask for a refund but I am very disapointed about this.

Ragnarock - I disagree with everything you have said - this does NOT stop people logging on/doing stuff when asleep as a script could be written to auto0refresh the page once already logged in.

So all someone has to do is login, set their sccript going and go to sleep - so what does this actually do? Nothing!

And like smooshable said - the bank code isn't so bad on mobiles as you can still buy things with your naq - now you can't even login.

so - I am still waiting for a REASONABLE explanation as to why this has been implemented....................

To prove this theory that it does not stop you from writing scripts, I just wrote one and tested it on a different game that allows scripting but has a coding system much like the one that is used for the bank(except it's for the equivelent of weapons). Worked like a charm, I could buy weapons as soon as I had the money. I was actually taking a nap when it bought me some defense shields(the code thing was added at my request, it's a small game that's just a few of my friends in it, but it plays a lot like SGW. Just thing SGW, with about 20 members).
