You can do it straight after. You can only buy 1 PPT at a time (48 hours), so it's best that you let your PPT ends and buy another one because buying 2 PPTs at once will only give you 1 PPT (so 48 hours instead of 48 hours x 2) and your 2 PPT limit per week all used up. I think you have an extra up to -30 minutes after your PPT ends to buy a new PPT. If I remember correctly, this 'extra' time only last until the next turn hits or when you log in after your PPT is over.
