How about when you send out mothersip looking for planets there is a chance it runs into another and they fight, this would be beyond the players control. basically the ship would return damaged and report the met hostile forces but still took planet or couldnt take planet.

chances of meeting another could be based on the number of motherships out at any time.

will be funny if a top MS meets an 500+ ranked... or what... so top players can send out their MS and sit down on their chair... and lower ranked lost half of theis shields:)

exactly it makes it more riskier to try get a planet, ppl would have to work on thier motherships alot more

I too am sick of that excuse. and you are exactly right. the powerful probably don't send out their MS's looking for planets anway; mostly because they've all been claimed by this point.

Well I use the 'it will only benefit the more powerful players' card every now and then - the difference is I usually back it up with words!

Besides - I do not see how it would benefit the powerful players - surely their mothership would also be damaged?? Aditionally it is sort of random - but tied in to how many MS are searching for planets.

If this happens I think the number of planets in the game should be raised. There is no reason to send an MS out unless there are some planets.

this is a great idea..and in no way can i see it benefiting the more powerful players..so stop bringing that trash up
this wud make sending outa mothership alot more interesting..lol
