mulitple weapons being used

So, if I have 100 Offensive NID teams (and no other offensive units) and 150 x302 and 50 mini nukes,
why do my attacks show that the mini nukes are getting used?

Is it:
1) the teams use all weapons, so the more I have the better?
2) some of the teams use lower weapons so I should sell the nukes
3) really they're using the x302s and it's a bug/typo

1. only 100 X302 will be used in the attack & more is not always better (higher repair costs)
2. no they dun use the mini nunkes...lower weapons cost more to repair and first to die in sabs
3. its not typo or bug

OK...
But that doesn't take into account why since I have 100 NID teams and 150 x302s, I still saw lesser weapons being used....

Indeed, that sounds like a bug. :?

The only explanation I can think of:
Are your 302's severely damaged?

OK this is my opion:

I don't believe it is a bug. For one it stops some one from getting a huge number of the basic weapons and preventing any sabbing from affecting. And if that's not the reason it still works that way for all the rest of us.
Also when you read the info about weapons it says they all have to be repaired in a assembly line so wehter or not they are used that have to be repaired.
So you should seel the nukes and 50 of the 302 because they just add to your repairs.

And once again I think this is not a bug because it has been this way forever as far as I know and it is a bug there has to be a major accouncement because as I pointed out it would make sabbing some people almost impossible and that's not the point.

Have you ever tried the 'massed-puny-weapons' to defend against sabs? It doesn't work: You sab away smaller weapons at a much greater rate. In the end, the defender would have been better off spending that money on training spies.

You are correct about the assembly line bit though, one should never have an excess of weapons.
I see selling off the mini-nukes as the best 'player-side' fix to this bug.

That aside, this has 'not' always been the status quo:
Your best weapons are picked up by your best troops, that is what used to occur and should be occurring.

I must admit I'm with the Xeno on this - I've never seen this happen before. It has always been, as far as I'm concerned, that all top weapons are used first then, if you have more offensive troops than top weapons, any lesser weapons you have are then used.

It could be, possibly, that the top weapons are so severely damaged that they are less powerful than the mini nukes - so they mini nukes are selected....... but that's just a guess as I've never heard of that either!!!????

Could you take a screenshot of your battle log and make a check on whether your weapons are damaged are not?

Putting down the chronicled battle report, you cross reference and call for the corrosponding military armory reports to see the state of your weapons after such a battle...

Your X302 Craft went from strength 2,750 to 2,733 (now 2733/2750 and 1 percent damaged)
Your RPG Rocket Propelled Grenade went from strength 50 to 47 (now 47/50 and 6 percent damaged)
You make a mental note to have these repaired, as you know damaged weapons are not only less powerful, but if damaged enough, must be destroyed.

Xeno...ouch that hurt :(. And yes it was a typo I don't have your flare for english, and sadened by a lack of spell check but I'm over it now.

Also I have seen weapons stashed like that though more for the fact that it wacts like a bank though you lose 20% and a "banking fee". When I started I did that some before I had ss.
And no it's not an efective defense againest a sabbing but it would leave your weapons for defenders and attkers untouched. Though would cost a lot to do so. But is possible and have seen it though don't know if they were using more as a cash stash or as a defence, though it worked like a defense.

And I don't care if it changed/was fixed it was an opinion. I will just wait and see if you get it moved to bug section and see if Forum hands down what he wants it as.

i would advise untrainning your anti covert operatives as they will just die, and only train them if you really want to kill spies

For the record, I did not intend to sound harsh.
I am the second to last person to go to during a crisis of grammar, spelling, or clarity.
In other words; I can hardly afford to be critical of another's typing.

It sounds from your latest bat-rep that the weapon selection bug has fixed itself. Perhaps you could do a few more attacks to ensure that the bug has indeed been fixed?

As for the new 'all weapons' getting damaged.... I thought that was normal. :?
Granted, it has been at least five months since I last had more than a single weapon type.

i belive the agents go in armed if posible

Umm confused doesn't look like it fixed he had 500 attkers with 500 top weapons, and yet the other rpg rockets were still damaged.
This will need a game mod or forum telling us if this is how it's supposed to be?
