At the moment there is no use for untrained mercs, you can distribute them to your officers and you can sell them for a small price on the mercs page. There is a very tiny use for them, if your covert is high enough you can fool your enemies into believing you have a massive army, when in fact you haven't, i'm not sure why you'd want to do this.

Commander Stargate wrote:No, I disagree there is a big use for them, if you run out of bank space when you are saving up for a big spy level, then you can just buy untrained mercs and use them as a bank, you buy them at 1500 and sell them at 900 which is quite a good rate
thats ridiculous.
...although valid.

in that case you loose 600 per merc....if you were trying to buy oh say covert level 16 which costs $198,608,000 you would have to buy 220675.5 or 220,676 which at 1500 each would cost you 331,014,000 in that case you would lose $165,507,000... I think with that ammount of money you could buy oh... say... unit production and actually make your bank bigger. (and at 31,252 untrained... my bank only holds 123,757,920... MORE UP I NEED MORE UP!)
