Between Itachi-san and Aizen-san, its really hard to tell who would win...
Aizen-san's Zapanktou gives him some of the greatest genjutsu powers ever, And yet, Itachi-san has the Sharingan, wich gives him the power to see through any genjutsu... It seems like Itachi-san would win hands down, but, Aizen-san's true raw power has yet to be seen, and as Rock Lee showed Sasuke-kun in the early chunnin exams, just being able to see it isnt enough.
But then again, Itachi-san's true raw power has also yet to be seen. Both of these warrior's are on a completely differant level then anything I have seen in any other anime, manga, or even imagined for that matter.
To see a battle between them would truely be an amazeing thing to witness.
I hope Tite-san and Kishimoto-san get together some time and do like an un-official battle manga between their charecters...
I would also like to see Kakashi-san vs Buyakuya(sp?)-sama... that would be prety cool...
But as for my fav bad guys...
I'd have to say Orichimaru from Naruto. Just cuz I have a thing for snake's.

Define what makes a villain great? is it mearly the scale of their destructions, their ruthlesness, or some other intangible? I've seen plenty of "evil" characters in shojo manga and anime that would get a nod just for sheer ruthlessness, even if they were working on a very small scale (say, a school).
But the villain that pops in to my mind as being my all time favorite is Karla, the Grey Witch from the original Record of Lodoss Wars OAV. She lives a parasitic existence through host bodies and has no qualms about killing her own allies to further her goals.
I'll give it some thought and see what else I come up with. Im sure I'll think of a few more, just takes time to think through all the anime and pick out the ones that were in some way special.
