this might seem like an odd question but once decenstion becomes possible what will stop the top players from mowing down eveyrone that starts new on ascension?

Well descending someone will be costly I guess, people wouldn't waste turns, time and ressources on new people.. Also I heard of something to prevent top ones from whacking the new players.

Notice how slow turns come around in ascension? You have to actually wait for them, you can't buy them. It makes massing very costly.

and descension is already possible, but only voluntarily. look on the realm page, about where it says "change realm name" and that stuff? there is a button that says "descend"

Oh but they will. Oh how they will. There will be blood gushes on the wall, and heads on pikes of n00bs that have been descended. But it won't be for no reason. n00bs will always get slaughtered by the higher ups, but in ascension, it will happen with a reason. The n00bs will be slaughtered because the n00bs deserve to be slaughtered. It won't be just random.

since turns seem to take some time you might not beable to mass everyone off the map as easily as sgws

so I assume there is a cap on turns you can get in ascension of 2000 too. which would make it exceedly difficult to mass unless you have overwhelming attack power.

That would be a good idea. It would be difficult to keep track of though, so I am going to go out on a limb and say no.

Well, I was under the impression that the ascended forums where for those who had achieved and had knowledge of the nature of ascension.

I don't think descension would remove that knowledge from the minds of the race... then again I may be wrong.
