Hi everyone,

I have a chance right now and I'd though I'd drop bye and say hi to everyone, and show some pictures of my travels thus far. Cartersville, GA is nice. It needs bike lanes, and more sidewalks, but it's nice down here.

I've been doing lot of work withthe group that I'm with and have been able to observe 8 orthopaedic operations so far. One total knee replacement, 6 between shoulder and knee minimally invasive procedures to clean up and relieve pain in those areas, and an emergency radius and ulna compund fracture with what looked like an 8yr. old. I've been able to see and assist in MRI/x-ray scans of a medial condyle fracture/bruise, with a MCL and ACL tear. I hope to be able to see a few more, maybe next week, or sometime soon.

With all that fun and interesting stuff there is the bad as well. I've also have to do the tedious work of enter virtuall all the doctors names and fax numbers in the state of Georgia as know by the people at WebMD. In case you're wondering it's about 10,000 names and fax numbers. I'm also doinf research into grants for the group, and am excited about the medical mercy mission coming up this month that I'll get to participate in. We'll be going to Bolivia into a womens prison where the women are incarcerated with their kids. Care will be given in the areas of orthopaedics, pulmunology, ob/gyn, and pediatrics.

I do miss Canada, Canadian Club scotch, hockey, and colder weather.

I also miss the opportunity to spent significant amounts of time on here chatting and playing Stargate Wars.
