I do not know if this has been suggested before, but here goes anyway.
at the moment you need to have the whole lump sum to increase your levels and this just gets harder and harder as you go up as it keeps doubling.
So I think it would be better if you could pay off towards the amount needed to increase your covert and anti covert levels.
Please let me know what you think.
If this is considered to not be a good idea, i would also like to know why
Thanks
covert and anti covert level increases

yeah - this has been suggested before, several times - a long time ago. The simple reason it is not introduced is because it is SUPPOSED to be harder to get higher levels. I remember when it was considered almost impossible for people to get level 14!
The point is you need to grow in order to get what you want.

heh heh - yeah, sounds funny now, but I remember infiltrating the private sections of The Order of Chaos' forum and everyone was getting excited because thethirdlibra (who was one of the top players at the time) was about to get level 12 or 13.

Back on topic: There is no way this will be implemented.
However, you have many options available to you if you can't save up one lump sum.
1. Do it the "natural way" and buy weapons, then sell them all at once, and get your spy lvl. This was once the only way to get lvls.
2. Sell resources. One of the best strategies is to train a bunch of spies, slowly building up your covert. Then, at some point simply untrain some of your spies, and sell them for naq. If you do it right, your covert action will not drop.
Off topic: I remember being the first one to get lvl 22 "naturally" (I could be the only one, no one is that dumb nowadays). Sleipnir was the first to get lvl 21 "naturally" and I was about 2 days behind him. And just to put that in perspective, a good naq hit was 30mill, and you could only sell 999 weapons at a time. I had many FF tabs open

too much money everywhare
I remember getting excited because I could afford 1 X302 per day!!! - And I can remember when an excellent naq hit was 100k. lol
But ManiacMan is correct - there are other ways to have enough naq to buy higher levels - by storing naq in the forms of weapons etc. It is more expensive - but that is the price you for essentially getting something you cannot afford - call it a form of loan interest.
