commander & alliance

How do I get a commander if i'm a leader in an alliance. When I try I get a message that tell me I can't. Something about allegence to the alliance. But I do see some other player that are leader and do have a commander..

Help please anybody.

you cant have a commander when your the head of the alliance, simple as that

ok then can you explain to me how come I see a lot of players leader of an alliance and with a commander!?! Most of them are self commander but it's what a wanna do.

The head of an alliance doesnt have a commander.

Post an example and we can point out where you have gone wrong.

yep ok where i got wrong.... humm... like i'm stupid or something ok ok fair to say so, i'm a new guy after all. but hey i will give an exemple.
First I click on Attack, then on Alliance ranking.
Now I look at the dark dominium with in leader column a player named REK. I click on his name and guess what in section commander I see REK!!!! But it's should be none right! OK OK sorry for the attitude but I'ts always like that, everytime I have tried to ask somethings on forum I get the same type of answers. Im getting frustred now for being always "the one to blame". Thank for your help hope you guys have sens of humor!!!

ok, you're problem is that you want to be your own commander while you are an alliance leader, but a message tells you you can't get a commander. i think the people who are alliance leaders were their own commanders already, and then were handed command of the alliance.

Thanks man. I was waiting for a respond that make sense. I will try to do a test about that. I think I know someone in the alliance that could help me do a test. I'll come back after with a result.

yes, you can KEEP a CO when you become the leader of the alliance.

So, if you want to be your own CO, get someone you trust to become head of your alliance, make yourself commander, then have the person give you back command of the alliance. Just make sure it is someone you REALLY trust.

As they've stated, it's quite possible to have a commander an still be an alliance leader.
Transfer power, get a commander, resume alliance command.

that does'nt work anymore, i found that out about two weeks ago when i was handed leadership of my alliance while the real leader got a commander i could'nt give it back to her

Well i don't know for other commander but for yourself it works. I did pass leaderof my alliance to a friend, make myself own commander and he pass me back leadership, and IT WORKS!!! So thank for the good people how help me out!!!! And for the others who give me wrong info before : IN YOUR FACE, PAL !!!!! LOL

Heh, I'd be careful... We all give advice with the best intentions, and try to recall facts and figures of a MMORPG that (for many of us) has little to do with our daily lives.

Facts get wrong sometimes... Memory fails... etc.
Even if in jest, Have a little grace

Besides, IIRC the last person with that attitude got massed back to the pre-SS days…

I understand, but like I posted before, I always had problem with any forum I went to. I ask simple question and stay polite, then get answer that almost tell u your stupid. I'm sorry if I offense somebody, but I stand up for what I said. I also hope those peoples do to. If you respond to a post, I think you should be sure of your info. But hey I guest I make mistake to !!!! Anyway I PLAY A GAME HERE!!! It's not my life you know! So if I get massed because of that, life go on man.... so many other games I could play. But I do like this one and hope to continue for a long time... Please be nice to me !!!!

Part of the problem is generally people don't bother to look stuff up. I know this question has been asked before, so a search should turn up a topic answering your question. Generally, it takes me about 5 minutes to find what I want to know. People get hostile because they feel that the person asking the question is too lazy to spend a little time to look up the answers themselves....and they are often right. Now, IM not saying you didn't spend the time, this isn't a question that comes up every other day and the previous answert may be buried, but one should spend some time looking for it, and if you don't find it just mention that you couldn't find it using the search (make sure you DO search, you'll look really stupid saying you couldn't find it if it is one of the first few search results returned). Just the fact that you tried to help yourself first will make others more likely to be forthcoming and friendly when helping you.
