btw.. stons usual rant towards the recent market update :
wont work, system is wrong (turns are bought => rate changes that you get more turns next time, beside it seems to be jumpy as a nympho)
SS now costs 4 multiples of a trade is a good thing
=> market is only a way to seed turns into game. but ok, thats fine, i give it up and use the system for my advantage.

i think we all are
Naq gone up 4,700,000,000,000
UU gone down 17,200,000
Turns gone down 2,200,000
people will not sell UU or Turns for naq on the market when they can sell it for more on the black market
maybe they can make a black market limit like 3 per week or some think

Honours and Awards
Usually I try and see the positives in any update that is made - but I do not see any positives in this at all - except to those with more money than sense!

sorry to necromance this topic but after watching the market for a month i dont think the it will work for long with the current influx of AT per turn/day!
if you want to keep it "laisse faire" remove naq and /or put uu on market regulary as well
else we will end up having incredible naq rates in a few months (speaking of 10bil per 600 turns per 5K uu or something). and no , the amrket wont regulate itself because ppl will rather trade for AT (because this rate will stay always at 600-700) and the units cashed in for naq or turns wont make a difference..

The New Misballance in the market
I have watched the market for some time now and in the begining it was ok-ish.
It's great to have attack turns on the market, unfortunately those of us trying to grow and play the game (attack) are loosing our opertunity to buy them, we are now being priced out of the market and if this is happening to low ranked small sized players it will make it v hard on potential new players.
A good gauge of how the market idea is doing is simply to look at the rates of exchange on the black market for UU. I can remember when it was 320 bill for 1 mill UU, now it's 100 bill more than that in most cases.
This is a huge inflation and yet again only the Already Large players can benefit, the gap between those that have and those that have not grows.
I posted this in a previous thread about the market
http://herebegames.com/StarGateWars/vie ... sc&start=0
Given that
A. Attack turns are always needed for growth and Play
B. The game is UU based (for growth and income)
C. The big guns in the game are the only ones capable of buying resources at inflated rates.
would it be more practical to have set rates for buying attack turns and have a fourth option added to the market?
i.e.
800 attack turns for 3 bill naq (set rate never changes and market always has attack turns).
PPT at 2 Bill naq (Set rate never changes, increases naq available on the market).
Lifers at a flexible Rate (Lifers versus naq available on the market)i.e. if there is v little naq on the market you get more lifers and vice versa.
UU at 1/3 times that flexible rate (UU versus naq available on the market) i.e. if you can buy 9k lifers you can only buy 3k UU.
Those players using cash when using the market would get a 30% increase on all services bought as opposed to those using ingame resources i.e. PPT remains the same (in lenght of time) but 30% in the ammount of lifers/UU/attack turns you get.
This would keep the base rate for selling and buying attack turns the same and at the same time allow players to trade in UU again from the market but as a result of this selling UU directly on the market becomes more profitable for small and medium players.
The lifes blood of the game are attack turns, and the promotion of cash transactions on the market is of great benefit to maintaining the server hence the 30% extra on cash transactions I proposed.
