I think that it would be cool that with the relations we can set a Challenge to an opponent.
This challenge can be accepted or declined but if accepted it should last for 5 days and all transfer abilities in those 2 accounts be removed for that time.
It will be a true one on one battle, no transfers in or out of the account at all.
After 5 days the damage is calculated and the victor made clear.
I think that would resolve alot of this crap about people not fighting their own battles and such.
It could also be set so that if you challenge someone with half your total power they get a handicap or something that levels the playing field, like a rank mod or something.
Just a thought, please expand on it as you see fit.

thats sounds like a plan it would also up wars as lesser powerful player would nt fear challenging the higher ranks as they will have a "handicap" to assist them... I would suggest that no prtection be granted as in nox ppt or vacation mode or realm alerts as its a one on one battle and only said party who wishes to stop well have a label saying they have surrender to whoever next to their name for a few days .. for the shame of not fighting the fight all the way thru

The way Acronon formulated the ideea is good. 5 days of chalenge will be good. If one player is afraid, or wants to prepare better his attack he sould be allowed to buy PPT. Even if he buys the 2 PPT bonuses, from those 5 days, one will be unprotected, so he will have to fight eventualy. I know that you thought that if both parties agree with the duel, shouldn`t be PPT, but not all the players are in the same timezone. Also, i suggest that in those 5 days of dueling, no military activity should be against players, from "outside", because it`s "one on one". Also, there should be a prize. Player A chalenges player B for X uu or X naq. If both parties agree, then the duel should take place.

another option to the handicap thing would be to limit the ranks up/down one can challenge...
perhaps also different sorts of challenges, like:
- who can improve this or that stat most, without getting help from other players
- who can raid the most (there should also be some measure to prevent people from casually untraining enough units to help a person win)
- who can kill the most of the others soldiers?
the above ideas are slightly flawed, and need improvement, but we are unsure what to do to improve them... we hope others can improve on them...

I like the idea.
Really the challenge should be just between two players and have the rest of the field as spectators.
The real problem to me is that if we blocked all other players from attacking, many will exploit it for protection by challenging their friends or alliance mates.
Prehaps it can be a filter which allows limited hits on the players but no massing:
Option 1: Other players can only stike twice per turn. Some still stike 1at to test in the lower regions.
Option 2: Would be only if he has over 200M naq or 15k UU out he can be attacked by outsiders. I know these seem low to many of us but for most in the game are still high numbers. Besides, any person active in a challenge or not should have very few UU out.
While in a challenge the two players can only attack each other. This is to prevent a player from using it for protection while he attacks an alliance etc...
The basic Idea is to let the two players mass each other without outside help but not to protect them from being farmed etc...
If they upset others 5 days will be over quickly to allow others to mass them.
Have a 10 day period between challenges also.

I love this idea, only thing I would ask to change would be in this 1vs1 battle the 2 accounts that are fighting are "protected" from all the other players, In this I mean no other players are allowed to hit or sab them. If forum could set up a script that would not allow others to hit the ppl that are in war would be even better.. That way it is truely a 1 vs 1...

This is awsome, but the market should be blocked off during this time, aswell as the broker. So you can only attack each other, other people can only attack you once per 2 hours.
And you can place a wager of UU between you!
Admin should spend more time doing updates like this rather than planets etc, put systems in place to use stats we already have, not make up new stats!

it would be interesting to have such challenges, but there must also be some limits on the challenges (i.e. +/- rank, # of challenges per week, etc.)
there should also be restrictions/penalties with challenges. examples:
- no trades or broker or transfers to or from account
- no inchallenge ppt
- no selling weapons or some other thing to ensure one loses
- obvious misuse (i.e. using challenges for protection) should be punished
perhaps there should be some goals:
like player "a" will ensure that player "b" will go down at least "x" ranks, or he will loose something (like a number of uu or an amount of naq or a number of turns), if he does, he gains that same amount.
perhaps income/up will be set to something similar for both, like the average of both players' income/up, which would even out challenge; and attacking others should also be forbidden, while still making sure that they can grow...
