Attacking advantages against certain races

I don't know if this has ever been suggested and I couldn't find it in search so here goes. (that was my little disclaimer)

How about we get advantages for attacking the races our race would in the TV program? This could be along the lines of less damages or more naq gained or less losses.

For example:

Replicators get a bonus against Asgard
Asgard get a bonus against Goa'uld
Goa'uld get a bonus against Tauri
Tauri get a bonus against Replicators

There are a lot of alliances that are single race and some that role play....this would make that kind of thing much more interesting and more worthwhile doing. What do you think?

Replicators get a bonus against the most powerful defensive race. *cough*
Asgard don't attack, so their bonus means nothing.
Goa'uld don't need the bonus to get by a Tau'ri defense.
Tau'ri don't need a bonus.

The only one who gets anything are the reps. I say no.

Esker, all Asgard upgrades can't go on defence or else everyone would just sit there playing banker. Maybe an attacking bonus would get them off their butts and back in the WAR game.

Goa'uld don't need a bonus to get past a Tauri defence, no, but wouldn't you like a few perks for doing....and easy ones to get at that.

True, Tauri don't really need a bonus but losing less guys would greatly help some of those massive attacks now that the merc rule is being enforced.

LOL. What about the threads along the lines of `please give the Goa'uld more`? This is simply more role play....I don't even care if the advantages are much or not just something to make the game more interesting and like the TV program.

Well then leave it up to the roleplayers instead of giving your race an advantage against the most untapped source of naquadah on this side of the... stargate. lol

And if you want to challenge anything about Goa'uld balance, go to my topic where I may chew you up and spit you out.

Actually, I think this has been suggested before, at least once.

Replicators get a bonus against Asgard
Asgard get a bonus against Goa'uld
Goa'uld get a bonus against Tauri
Tauri get a bonus against Replicators

Two things:
(1) What about attacks from "corner" to "corner" (i.e. Rep vs Goa'uld, Asgard vs Tau'ri, etc).
(2) Instead of a square, how about a web: wouldn't that make things more interesting? (especially if options expanded...)

I still think something to liven the game up along these lines would make it more interesting though.
