My latest Idea is aimed at everyone who always hides on PPT

Sorry guys but it is a war game after all not a stat build on PPT 4 days a week vac mode for the other 4 days a week game...

Since everyone is always saying NNOOOOOOO KEEP PPT WE NEED IT to me.. I have come up with this idea which would be sooooo cool to see happening..

If you go on say more then 2 PPTS in the space of a 2 week period your men start killing themselves from lack of things to do..

This also goes for people with freakishly huge defences.. Living god 2's with 300 billion defences never gonna be attacked unless you have a 500 billion living god 2 offence...

Now I know that all the hide and stat build on PPT for months at a time will say no Jamie why do you come up with stupid ideas that mess up the way I play the game thousands of people will leave its not really a war game its a community of friends who love eachother and we enjoy massing one guy who forgot to go on his ppt this week game hehe..

Seriously tho I HATE MONDAY-THURSDAY everyone is on PPT and if its not Monday to Thursday its Thursday - Thursday PPTs.. Its so boring to not be able to attack anyone... And massing n00bs is not fun.. Massing n00b alliances are not fun..

I dont even bother looking at the attack pages cos there is no point ye are all on PPT

So anyway with all my whining completed who likes the idea of suicides from boredom??

um...people being on PPT isn't really a big problem. and i doubt your alliance wants to always be at war with some alliance. most people on PPT use it to save up naq for something that they can't bank the naq for. the people you see on ppt are the ones who abuse the privilege of PPT. but to me, most of the other people use it for good reason. hence, i don't support the suicide by boredom update(note i said don't support, not don't like or hate).

What can I say Im bored.. Maybe Suicide was the wrong word.. Prehaps aging or retirement.. Afterall exercise keeps the heart young..

But seriously it is a war game.. And nothing more frustrating then not being able to attack someone becuase they are all on PPT..

I only use PPT as an emergency e.g. if I have to go into hospital or a job where I have no net access for a day or two..

And with the use of brokers and a friend everyone can bank whatever they want so I dont agree with the statement that you need ppt to save your naq..

Well, not sure how much you are farmed while in the EPA, but chances are it isn't as bad as most other non-CoP alliances. Also, vacation mode button says this "NOTE: TO GO ON VACATION, YOU CAN NOT HAVE ATTACKED ANYONE IN THE LAST 1 EARTH DAY, AND CANNOT HAVE BEEN ON VACATION/PPT FOR THE LAST 1 DAY!", so the whole 4 days of ppt, then 4 days of vacation wouldn't really work, would it?

If you want a decent war, just for the hell of it, post in the Colosseum, there are probably some players that would be glad to help you out, if you really want that…

If you are saying that 4 days of ppt per week sucks for what it does for wars, well, it still leaves 3 days of massing per week….or 1 day before they can enter vacation mode after a ppt, and one day after the vacation is over before they enter another ppt, so that is enough time, I would hope, to do whatever you got to do. This is assuming the limits of vacation mode/ppt actually work…I wouldn't know, I have never used vacation mode…

If you are saying 4 days of ppt sucks because of the effects it has on the farming industry…well, you could try raiding, those farms don't use ppt

OK a slight alteration to people killing themselves cos thats not fair really...

So this is my new Anti PPT Idea

Instead of you losing men (cos aparantly its not fair to kill people for doing nothing) You lose upto 25% of your stat strength per PPT.. Not only that but it takes 2 full days for your stats to come back to full strength.. If you go on a second one you lose another 25% and it will take 4 full days for it to come back to full strength..

This only effects your

Strike
Defence
Covert &
Anti Covert

So

So If your on PPT for

2 Days - 25% Stat Strength Loss - 2 Day Recovery
4 Days - 50% Stat Strength Loss - 4 Day Recovery
6 Days - 75% Stat Strength Loss - 6 Day Recovery
8 Days - 100% Stat Strength Loss - 8 Day Recovery

The execption to this is People who Ascend or go on Vacation Mode or when the whole game gets a free PPT

This way the people who "benefit" from PPT do not benefit as much and they will know that there is a loss of their power if they constantly go on PPT

It is not fair on those who don't go on constant PPT all the time who actually play the game building up our stats and massing someone who arrived home 20 minutes late and missed their oh I have to back on PPT game..

There are too many benefits for going on PPT and when half the game goes on PPT every monday it leaves the rest of us bored...

As I'm sure I said somewhere its a war game not a be on PPT most of the time game..

Oh and I've never used vac mode.. So I don't know anything about it haha

I only go ppt when Im trying to rush ascend but Ive never used vacation mode either. Troops mass suicide is hilarious, so I voted yes

Perhaps we should call it desertion instead. Lacking anything to do in your realm, they deffect much in the matter UU sent back and forth do. They go and find someone else to work for. Perhaps they even show up as mercanaries.

I've used vacation mode once, when I was going on vacation for a week with my family.

I vote no. Personally I don't have the problem. As mentioned, theres a 1 day period between PPT and Vac. So if you find someone doing that PPT and vac alot, and it annoys you, hit them on those days hard enough to so they can't afford a PPT. Having troops kill themselves isn't very pratical.

Desertion, Maybe for mercs who are paid to fight and would otherwise be the first ones getting bored. Maybe have them start killing troops and themselves.

Stat loss for PPT, no.

I myself, only use PPT to recover from attacks and just before and after ascention, or if I am going to be gone or real busy for a couple days. MT's have better ways of being used.

well i travel alot and for that reason i go on PPT from time to time. when i am not on PPT i attack alot so to lose men or stats for having to travel with work seems like an idea that needs some fine tuning. i agree then when attacking it is frustating to see alot of people on PPT. maybe the PPT clock like someone else suggested would be cool as it would tell you when someones PPT would run out. but to lose men cause you have to work is not fair

How did I know that the people who use PPT all the time would be against the idea

Its a war game, your meant to play, a war game for me is being able to hit whoever I can fight.. Not to sit here scrolling through 50 or 60 off the top pages to see PPT PPT PPT PPT...

I mean common guys, it is so frustrating..

If I am at war all the guy has to do is go on PPT 2 days later he is back to full strength (depending on his unit production/miners)

So whats the point in playing hte game if all your going to do is be on PPT for half of the week..

Yes we all have RL commitments there were periods earlier dfuring hte year when I had NO ACCESS to the internet.. Did I go on PPT because of this no I did not.. I had no car. no money and I still made time to try to get to the internet to log on..

This crap about I can't get onto the internet is bull crap, there are people who play this game in Iraq.. So unless your in the middle of the pacific ocean with no phone coverage there is always a way to log in and bank your naq or spend it or something.. I'm pretty sure that most airports have some sort of internet access.. Hell even my local pub has internet access..

But when I play a game I expect to be able to play it.. Not wait 4 days just so I can attack someone, as people have so proudly pointed out to me that you have to wait 24 hours..

If your planet were really under PPT it would have to be protected fully not just words on the screen saying "sorry you cant come and invade this planet because well its protected move along please" If I were a big bad alien guy I would say screw that, invasion.. You are now my slaves.. Do my bidding.. Drink Beer and party..

Seriously tho... Getting very frustrated.. And that is the reason why I keep coming up with these ideas.. Because you should have a risk while going on PPT... If your constantly on PPT whats the point in having that huge strike or that income for your millitary you dont need it..

PPT should only be used in a life or death emergency in RL.. Thats it.. Thats the only time I ever use PPT Because I know I wont be able to log in..

Either that or we should bring back PPT for $$ cash.. Of course I will get slated for this too!!

Well, I would not have a problem with PPT.. IF when somebody attacks cannot go on PPT for certain period of time. It makes me nuts to get massed and then to see the COWARD on PPT. I want to retaliate, not to scratch teeth about guy who can laugh at me, while being safe on PPT.

As much as I hate PPT, I do understand it probably has reasons why it is used and still not abused. I mind it mainly because of cowards, who hide after they mass somebody. Let PPT stay, let the stat builders build their stats, I don't care, it's how the game can be played and nobody has right to enforce them to other style of playing - but when somebody is at war and massing, why the hell they can immediately run?
