Hiding naq?
What unit/stat is it that allows you to do this? Gets annoying having people being able to see my naq, since I can't use it when I'm sleeping

This should be in the FAQ section mate.
I shall answer your question anyway though. You need a higher covert to others cant see your naq. You gain this buy training spys and increasing your covert level. You an also protect your naq with a high defence. Also being in an alliance or having a good commander can also give you some protection from farmers.

If you generate too much naq when you are catching your zzz's, consider changing your realm alert level to something higher than it is.
"Realm Alert Drains Naquadah, Increases Covert Defense, increases insurance effects;
Nox Insurance drains 10% income, limits successful attacks on you, adds delay between attacks.
Both cost 3 turns to change; lose 1 glory per turn on insurance, if applicable."
You be making less naq per turn, thereby having less naq out over x amount of time, which hopefully will draw less attention to you. It isn't really hiding naq as much as it is not making it to need to hide.

sometimes ppl hav huge spy but low def, so def is useful to hold naq

who needs submarines anyway, those little black boats just keep sinking under the water anyway.
