Attention: using the search Function

now before u mods delete this or lock it. pls hear me out. i hav heard many people say that the search button never works.

to use the search function properly:
-type in your key words.
-go to search options and select forums, open the list and select the sub forum u wish to search.
-once u hav selected the subforum, go to "search previous" select if you want to chose (it shows all subforums in the list)
-go to search previous and select:
Search topic title and message text or
Search message text only
-select if you want results displayed as posts or by topics.

then you can click search to get more focused and relevant results on the topic you want

Good try. I hope it works. I don't think people will listen though. I made up a general one many moons ago, saying this, in this thread. I never got around to making a 'Search Guide'.

I believe flavar had two... the Deity had one...
And then there are the ones such as Spacey’s; individuals crusading against stupidity, one thread at a time.

One day one of us will be bored enough to convert most of the numerable Stickies in the Newbie/FAQ Forum into a full PDF. With a full contents and index as well as pretty pictures
And with my Holiday period coming up soon it'll be me with nothing but sunny weather and my beach to keep me company so who knows....
The guide may even see the light of day in this new form...
