I'm taking a slower route as well... I first ascended over a year ago, am an Incarnate now and won't be a LG+1 until later next year ... what can I say, I like to watch the scenery along the way

While each ascension can add a good chunk of power to your account. I think a more definitive measure of power is the time they have spent on the ascension server. Ultimatily it is a fairly linear growth curve. It is very expensive to actually jump up that curve atrificially.

I purposely waited 6 months before i did my 1st ascension(got a 10k UP raw that i kept for the 6 months; i gathered 15 mil UU plus UU cost for my 1st ascension). Then did ascen 2 to 4 every two weeks, then had a 5 week gap till i did my 5th ascension. Dont know when i will be doing my 6th ascenison.

To try to catch upto the players who have been ascended for a long long time(only started playing SGW in september of 2005), i have been buying alot of DMU. It is getting very very expensive to try to catch upto them. So far i figured i spent at least 600 bil to 1 tril naq on buying DMU alone.

*sigh* another person proud of being a quick ascender. Such a waste. Just had a look at your account and while it is probably ok compared to a lot of living god's that's nothing to be proud of. The condition your account is in it'll never be anything more than mediocer. I only hope others learn from mistakes like this.

Thats a fair point... my ascended account isn't great...

The reason why I ascended quickly (knowing it wouldn't make it a great ascended account) is because I wanted the main bonuses (and I do play the ascended account - gave up playing chaos/quantum so I could just focus on these two)

I've now got a good grasp on how to play ascension well and when my main account is strong enough I'm going to use my last 4 ascensions to really improve my ascended account but when I get to doing that will be a long way off but when I get there I will do my last 4 ascensions with a minimum of 500k APP (for each one) a large task I know but... it is for my future plans

Maybe if people knew more abount ascended it would change things?

Of course so many people don't even like ascended and dont play it so they dont care about there ascended accounts anyway. They just want their main bonuses.

I ascended the first time the day after the server opened. I did my seventh ascension about a month and a half ago. I am not doing too badly in the server now. I am hoping beyond hope that I won't have to ascend again. But we shall see. I am just building up in both servers about equally now.
