Planet Thiefs have to much power...

and you need to consider that most planets are around the above average size or normal size now. that means 200-250 and even 300 bil when it's a large planet (which also is quite common now)

exactly my point, that's something our dearest kkatastrophe doesn't look at.

in adition to that you will receive about 45-50 bil back from selling the fleets after you conquer a planet so i dont' see a problem with why planet defences can't be made more effective

No matter what I think that a percentage of fleets should be destroyed.

How many times can fleets or anything going to go out in war and come back just damaged??

It isn't going to happen. Thats like sending out fleets on starwars and all of them come back. :shock:

I also think you should only be able to attack a planet so many times before you can't do it anymore.

Maybe 5 or 10 times not unlimited till you take it.

The way it is set up now I could have 1k fleets and take a planet with 15 bil or more def as long as I have the naq to repair to repair the fleets. :shock:

As it sets right now planets are not worth have because they can't be defended.

If you have 1k fleets, that puts you at 201 million fleet power (not sure if this is different for ascended) - that means the most powerful planet you could attack and do damage on would have 1.005 bill defense. Good luck attacking a 15 bill defense planet, or even a 2 bill defense planet, because you will not even scratch it. As with ANY type of attack, you do not do damage if the defense is 5x greater than the attack power.

In MY world (not sure what ascended prices are for fleets), 3bill fleet power would be 14925 fleets + 14925 Drone Satellite Arrays, which would come to a grand total of 1.169 trillion naq for both. If you want 10 untouchable planets, you deserve to have to spend an untouchable amount of money.

Hell, if I don't want to see my defense massed, what's the ballpark figure for avoiding anybody's attack these days? maybe 5 trillion defense power? As an unascended Go'uald, that would set me back about 33 trillion naq - should I be complaining/whining to somebody about the fact that I can't afford this?

You know what I mean. Its not the fact of the 1k versus 15 bil def it is the fact that it doesn't take much to take a planet. And all it does to fleets is damage when in reality they should be destroyed. Or at least a percent of the them. :roll:

Great Idea! Then, only CoP can steal planets! I know, why don't we have a new rule that says you can't buy anything until you have 10 million army size? It would be so fun, wouldn't it?

EDIT: \/ \/ \/ No, not ok - I DO think this comment was necessary - I grant you that analogy is quite a powerful tool in explaining things, but I make no apology for seeing an 'imbalance' in loft666's post and wanting to point it out.

Yet he may be onto a good idea here. Just lower it to around 250-400 army per glider, and a problem is solved. This way someone with a million army could have between 2500 and 4000 fleets total. This would help eliminate 'throwaway' accounts with less than 50 army size. In order to take mostplanets you would need atleast 1 million army, which is fairly easy to get really...yet alot less multies.

Please don't act sarcastic on the forums like this, it gives bad impressions etc etc...

Besides, it would hamper alot of multis, they would have to become alot more adaptful (Is that even a word?) in order to be profitable in their businesses.

Here is another idea. A serious one. Stop the trade of planets. Ban the trading of planets. This would make it pointless to steal if you don't intend to keep them. Just a thought though. Please don't start saying things like "What the hell thats unfair.." and things like that.

That makes sense... after all it's unreasonable for someone with 1,000 army size to be able to man 3000 fleets... however I suggest the ratio be higher, like 1,000 army size per one glider. This way whoever's funding the multis loses some more uu, and we get some better farms. :D

20% to 50%, nothing hapens

I think the size should also have an effect.

PROPOSED: You attack must be % of Defence
0% to 20% = Small
20% to 50% = Average
50% to 75%, = Large
75% to 100% = Huge
100% = Monsterous
