10/11/06 updates

game updates page wrote:Planet Conquest

Due to massive player feedback, a planet - after conquering it - now takes 24 hours to 'travel' from the enemy realm, to your own. During this time, only the defender/attacker can interact with the planet. The attacker (new owner) can benefit from it, build on it,etc. The defender (one who lost the planet) can attack it. Nobody else can attack it until the 24 hours is up, and the planet is stable in the new orbit.

Finally. :D

No more need to worry over planet thief's as long as you login once every 24 hours or so.

Thank you forum! :D

the broker one is nice as well

stops people trading for UU, setting up a broker, waiting ages and then massing and raiding said person when the broker dies....

Question, is it possible for the planet to be perminatly stuck between the two worlds, as each player keep attacking the plnaet to get it back, and the other player doesn't have enough to pay for defences?

probable

But if it kept up for long enough I'm sure one player would mass the other into not taking it back, or at least remove they're fleets so they can afford defenses.

The best thing is you can mass them while the planet is in transit.. And if they send the MS out they wont be able to take it back :-D

great update, only i think it should be still modified slightly - that the 24 hour period is counted only when a person is not on ppt, ie if he attepmts to avoid it using a ppt, 24 hours would still have to pass from the moment it is over.

good idea.
or make it so that you have to wait 12 (or even 24, but i would even be fine with 12 ) hours before you go on ppt. if you do so then the planet can get taken away straight after you come off ppt (and of course no sooner than 24 hrs after it got taken in the first place)

Yeah the update is nice, indeed. But where can I see and attack the planets that are in transit? And can the attacker abandon it while it is transfered?

Also, instead of having planet thieves working alone, don't they simply have to team up now to get the job done?

ie, 2 multi accounts (2 planet thieves), both steal planet from same guy at the same time. He has 24 hours in which he can take them back, but he can only take 1 planet a day, so he can only get one back... his friends can't help him cause planet is in transit, and by the time he can attack again, second planet is long gone.

yep dead right, I still think loss of hangers on defended planet attacks is the way to go, it would encourage people to invest more in defending their planets & stop the planets thieves from selling (to expensive) Planet stealing would only happen if it was in a war situation, where cost dosn't come into it. (if you get my meaning)
