YES, you ascend after the fifth, after the 6th it is 1%.

The only real benefit is the added power points to your ascended account. But in MAIN server, it gives a 1% bonus per ascension after the 6th one. so 7th ascension, you'd have a 31% bonus.

you have to regain them after you ascend, if you wish to ascend again.

from a main point of view anything after the 6th ascension is useless

from a ascension point of view every ascension is awesome, getting better as time goes on

and with descension coming soon your ascension account is going to get very important
