Increasing the turn limits
well since there are now unlimited turns which was the forums fix to the problem why do we need to have a max number of turns anymore?

who am I ?
Spoiler
I am an ancient SGW player (from the time it was still called SGW), I have been playing since the 4th month, & I've made a name for myself by heavily farming ,raiding & trading - up to 16 hours a day. I was one of the first to reach the first raiding limit: 75 mill, I've had my share of battles & of military brotherhood with the great Dirty Dozen & got some good thrills in battle with Blahh, from The Legion).
Now, I am mostly retired from in-game fighting ,as RL is keeping me VERY busy & most of my friends from the old DD have left SGW.

we agree... but if it is to be increased, the limit for earning turns should also be increased...
so if it is upped to max 40k turns, the earning limit should be at least 16k, or maybe even 20k...

Oh good old days, when people were proud of reaching the magical amount of 1k turns. Sorry guys, but I personally don't think the amount of turns should be increased. Turns are already way too cheap as it is. People get massed at a whim. More turns will cause more massings, wars and general unfriendlyness. I liked the old days when you still had to wait for that 15th turn to come in and find your next rich target. Nowadays, you can just hit everyone and check afterwards which ones were actually good. It's no longer a game of strategy, it's just a game of who can attack the most people in the shortest amount of time.

but where the game has gotten bigger and the people are earning more technically the game has changed and the ability & need for more turns has become greater...
just because in the past you had to wait longer for turns as they took longer to "appear" doesnt mean it should stay at the same low rate as that hinders growth...

Yeah, I know it's a war game. But in the old days, wars were started over something. Nowadays, you just pick a random target and sit on them. No need to worry about running out of turns cause you can just farm some naq or raid some UU's and buy more.
When I hear people talk about upping the limits, cause they like to spend 20k turns a day, I can only feel things have gotten out of hand. There used to be a time you could play and compete in this game during lunchbreaks. Now it seems you have to scroll through the rankings all day to be competitive.

Nowadays you do have to scroll through the rankings especially when raiding... back in may of this year... it was VERY easy to raid... nowadays raid targets are scarse...
I have taken on farming as miners/lifers arent killable
Wars nowadays are started over very little... but the fact that turns are readily available makes for better fights in my opinion...
Take the Alpha vs FRA war... many people burnt a lot of turns... and it went on for the full 5 days... it was a massacre on both sides
had there only been a few k turns involved a lot of people would still be at nearly full power...
because of people being stronger and having more "stuff" it means you need more turns to mass/destroy them in a war...
as with everything its a case of supply & demand...
the demand for more AT was greater than the supply of AT... and the market update (I love it except the cost of lifers is too high for the amount you get
but my problem is that I would like to buy 30k attack turns one week which can last me for two weeks (farming) save me having to come on and buy more... this way I can also buy the MT's of someone (as well as my own) on monday and be able to hold them all at once so I dont limit their own AT generation

I don't see your point here. What would be the problem of having to come on and buying turns if you're already on to use them in the first place. Any time you can spend turns you can also buy them so there's no need to have so many in advance. Buying someone else MT is the same deal. They can buy the turns the instant you buy their MT, and lose none of their own turn production. We've got a 24/7 market, you don't need a sleeping bag out front (unlike the merc markets).
Back in the day, when we (The OoC) were at war, we would target the leaders or big shots of an opposing alliance. The noobs would be safe from us most of the time, until they were big enough to get their own bullseye. We had plenty of fun doing that, there was no need for 5 day wars that completely decimated both sides. However, like I already said, nowadays people fight wars over anything or nothing at all. I think it started back when Omega, or some other GA people, decided that they would mass whoever stole even 1 naq from them. If they want to do that, fine by me. But that doesn't mean the game has to be adjusted just to make that easier for them.
