Wow, I'm so disapointed, that was the most boring Bond movie ever.
50 minutes of him playing cards, 5 minutes of him blowing stuff up.
I'd like to hear from sombody that actually thought it was good.
Only good part was when he kept hurting himself and he got tortured via his genitals. Not that I liek that kind of stuff, just that he desvered it.

i thought it was way better than the rubbish that pierce brosnan played... an invisible car, some boat who can't be detected by a radar, a korean guy who has plastic surgery to look like a white guy, common
Bond is meant to be a person with loads of skills, not someone with fancy gadgets... Everyone could get their hands on special fancy gadgets, does that make them James Bond??? NO!!!
This bond was a thug, yet smart at the same time... He killed his enemies with his bare hands and certainly didn't look like a gentleman while doing it...
I agree the poker part was boring but there were some good twists to it...

Brosan turned me off bond movies for life..
My mate Dave Coakley had a betting office place a bet on him being the next James Bond after this guy...
Having to listen to that crap everyday makes me want to hunt down bond myself.. Although if I get my way I will be a future Bond Villian (Or well my charater will be muhahahaha)

Probably gonna get laughed off the thread for this.....but I always thought Robbie Williams would make a great Bond! He has that cockiness and sex appeal. If you watch the "Radio" video, thats when it struck me how Bond like he was. Not that he would have to act that much......

Thank God for that!
Pfft, Brosnan was ok, but to me he did seem more Bond like. Bond is soposed to be a sophistocated type of assassin/spy,not some hired thug.
Sean Connery is a good bond. But that might have somthing to do with those movies where more original.
Ill Admit the latest ones haven't been that great, but it didn't really stand out to be until this one that it sucks.

Correct me if I'm wrong but from what I have been told Bond is, in the original books, a chauvinistic pig.

amen to that!! the poker part was ok but the poker hands they got, impossible
you'll need to get used to the new bond, sure high tech gadgets are fun but most bond films these days are a bit unrealistic. this bond is more realistic

who needs submarines anyway, those little black boats just keep sinking under the water anyway.

You are right about him being a pig, although that doesn't excuse the movie for being lame. I relised there was 2 explosions, but they only count as 1 for two reasons;
1. You did'nt get to see one of them
2. The one you saw was lame and counts as half, and since I dnd't see the second one, it counts as half too
Its not all about the explosions, but it needed more action, like explosive poker cards.
Or chips that could slice your ears off.
Somthing!

i found it refreshing. glode hopping, honing his deadly skills, a rough person who discovers his inner beast and down to earth plot/less sensational
i say give him time. its his 1st role as bond, get to know him better and see wat traits/characteristics he specialises in.
