I dont have a problem with people taking planets and using them, its the players who take planets and then just ditch them, the 12 hour thing doesnt work, 1 minute after the planet is taken they ditch it so the player cannot hope to regain it.
I think the planet idea either needs a total rework or to be ditched, there are too many players out there gaining over 100k UP every day due to their planets, its just insane, the powerful get more powerful and weak get shafted.

I couldn't agree more but it's one of the reasons that being able to immediately abandon a planet is the only way to bring real pain to some of those players who are otherwise invincible. I would really hate to see that capability removed.

I believe a better way is to remove the ability to ditch a planet but still keep that you can only take 1 planet at a time, this would enable planet thieves to gang up on a player and take multiple planets but it would mean that the individual planet thief who wants to take a planet ever day from someone and piss them off by ditching them is hindered

I agree, since it take 12 hours not to get it into the players orbit, if they abandon it before then it should go back to its previous orbit since it would have never been fully captured

maybe the number of hours can be extended

I agree with Mango - it needs a total rework.
Although - I have to say that sometimes stealing a planet and then ditching it is the only way some people can retaliate against attacks from others. So, in that respect, I do not agree (at all) with planets falling back into their old orbit if abandoned.
If some form of time period is introduced in which a planet can't be abandoned immediately after stealing it, it would help. But, it would have to be accompanied by another time period in which the person who just lost the planet cannot try and claim it back immediately after losing it, otherwise it takes a way the only ability that some people have to retaliate against aggressors.
At least with a time limit, both players know exactly when teh planet would become available for being abandoned - therefore tehy know how long they have got.
(And, if you think about it - your MS would need some time to intercept the thief's ship anyway - becasue if it was able to attack immediately after the planet was lost, then why didn't it defend it in the first place?)

you can get 10 planmets stolen in 1 day but only get 1 back withing 24 hoiurshigh empty wrote:lets keep this simple, that those ( 24 hours should infact be made so that the planet can be taken then can be taken back and then taken back so no limit is imposed on the player between fighting for the planet only if 24 hours have passed and no one has attacked then the planet is up for graps from the rest of the game.
Small expoilt on this is that 2 players can keep 1 planet frozen so that they don't need a defence on it.
