Thanks for your support. I appriciate it. I must say that I didn't post that to generate support but rather to say in my own strange way:
Communication is key. If there is a problem with any mod then everyone has the opportunity to discuss it, in the appropriate manner and context(already determined), with that mod. While there are certain things that aren't flexible in modding, the mods are human and subject to fallacies and tendancies that are associated with the species.
There could be problems(I'm not leaning either way), but surely all must admit that if you haven't brought up concerns prior, the point somewhat moot, as no opportunity was give for improvment? LIke saying that you've always had x problem, but no one knew as it was never mentioned.

your a god mod but the feeling just isn't the same...your not a..spammer...we could connect with the old mods (most of which have quit the game itself) and the punishments were more berable because we knew they understood what we were doing...idk it was just more fun then all this new razmataz

Our failure is obvious, we had our foot on the throat of Humanity and we failed to step down hard enough.

You hear a sweet voice singing ever so softly when you realise that your prayers for someone who isn't biased may alreasy have been answered.
I'm not able to post much these days, although I am active. Instead of posting, I have to accept new members that register and give ascended access and make decisions... and then there's my life outside the forums... Nooo, let's not consider that. Let's say that the admin team abandoned us and you know... it's really easy to blame them for everything.
Think of the reasons why there are mods. Mods are like janitors. They get to touch all the crap that everyone else drops on the floor. These janitors don't get paid and do it out of a desire to serve. Do we blame the janitors or the people who keep them busy? Well, it's easier to blame the guy with the mop! Why does he have a wife and kids? Geez, they're annoying, they keep him away from his mop for a few hours every single day!
Meh. We try hard. We're not perfect. Give me someone who is perfect.

There are three realities.
There's perceived reality, which is subjective.
There's actual reality, which is what actually exists.
And then there's me.

Change is inevitable for sure, we all have to move on eventually. (Even it may seem like it sucks.) As people who have talked with me in the past will attest, I'm very open to talk about locked threads, things being changed and 9 times out of 10 will even unlock threads if someone asks politely. (Or I'll at least give an explanation as to why it cannot be done.)
Things change and people change, but you guys are still the users and any ideas / advice that you give me and Spacey will definiately be kept in mind.

Well i think good mods should be added if they are there even if the need is not there. Of course i will step down if it is necessary but i dont see any situation where it hurts that i still have mod status.
Writing as a mod. But i am currently testing colors. So if you want to claim one as yours or its not the best to read give me a call please

there is at least one advantage with having many more mods than absolutely neccesary...
there is less chance that the worst forms of spam stays long... as there will most likely then be some mod that can be on at each part of the day... and more people will think their actions through if there are mods visibly online at all times...
disadvantage(s) also exist, though... like that it will be harder to keep track of them for the admins, and when some controversial modding has been done, it will be harder to find who did it... (unless of course they say it right after doing it...)

"Great holy armies shall be gathered and trained to fight all who embrace evil. In the name of the gods, Browsers shall be changed to carry the internet out amongst the peoples and we will spread Firefox to all the unbelievers. The power of the Firefox will be felt far and wide and the wicked users of IE shall be converted to use the true browsers."
Curious about our color? Feel free to ask...

I know from experience that being a forum moderator is a thankless task. You get all of the blame and none of the credit.
I'm not surprised that people are stepping down, or that the people stepping up are unsuitable and doing so for the wrong reasons. Especially on a forum like this one. It's a shame though, really. Lurking here used to be a joy.

I just wish to appologise to both buck and bad wolf and the other general/battle mods.
I have been away/inactive. Psi and reality knew about it, I haven't had internet access, or only restricted (1 hour a day) internet access since the uni kicked us out for christmas holidays 2 weeks ago.
rest assured I'm back in classes, back at uni, and back to modding.

Psi Kiya Trist and I both responded to this thread. Why is it that an illusion is had that you are being ignored? Why is it that this illusion must be fed with things that directly contradict that which any person could easily observe?
So, ought I voice my opinion about whether or not "old skool d00dz" ought to be cast out of the moderation team because the proverbial "we" has had enough of them?
The only criterion that I need is that the said modding team is doing its job. Whether it is composed of old or new players does not concern me. Whether or not they APPEAR biased does not concern me nearly as much as whether or not they actually are. Appearance is really the personal interpretation of the observer, and the observer would be the one that is biased to make such shakey, unsupported assumptions.

*ahem*
I think that I shall never see
A Mod as fair as Reality
And for those down on their luck
Go and talk to dear old Buck
Jenny can lock
and edit with flair
And so will Flavar,
when he gets new hardware
Spacey can spell
R.E.S.P.E.C.T
The Xeno is great
(by the way....where IS he?)
The Wolf Boys show class
so get off your arse
And give three cheers for the Mods!

You quote the Bible yet you do not believe
That is interesting.......
He quotes it because he believes in what it means, you do not have to believe in god, or jesus to understand what he is saying, Just take it into context, those of you who have never spammed, never given a mod a hard time, always posted perfectly, never in the wrong place or in temper...These are the perfect ones, and they do not exist, therefor, we do the best we can, if you want us to stop im sure every single mod will Stop modding as of this post, and then where would we be
Perhaps thats an idea, how about the mods dont mod for a day, we wont tell you which day, and we'l see what chaos errupts
