Actually it was 100 UP...I know who reached 1000 up first, it was me followed a few hours later by iron2047 and then Fox and Jake. The 4 of us were the UP kings until the bug allowed certain people to catch up. I remember the days when iron and me had level 22 covert and no one else even had level 21.

As for the first true number 1 in this game, it has to go to Fox, who got it on skill. The guys before him were either lucky, in Silent Todd's case hitting an admin account for 2.8 million naq when people were farming for 50k and of course ELUSIVE bought his rank.

You just have to say it was someone in Omega for number 1. LMAO, Omega aint everything ETL..you think it is, but it aint, there are some better people not in Omega that are better then some Omegans...

Having been around when Fox was #1, and having seen all the rank1's yea, I'd have to say that Fox was the first to get there by skill and fair play. But, I think that the first true "super account" has to go to _Apophis__.

I dont think you can really call someone with 50 multies fueling his account a "true first super account" lol.

I don't think he was ever proven to be a multi. Suspected, but not proven. Much like JUAN.

I don't think he had the chance to be "banned" by the admins, as I recall, he got his account wiped out another way

It's not a matter of luck; it's just a matter of time.

Started in June 05. Supers and the bank were here when I stared but that was it. Dyneasty gave me 1k uu and 10 mil to start with. Started with the VGC and hobbes.

Have seen ascension start, the maket created, motherships come about. Dropped about 1k in rank when they can in. Fought having one for a couple months and gave in. Now I have learned to love them. Seen alliances split and disband and some great feuds and wars. Planets are here now and can cause all kinds of havoc (good excuses for a war). Now we can kill spies with anti-covert but what will come next that will make anti-covert vulnerable. We now have miners and lifers and ppt can be bought with game resources.

Lots of changes but with all the game changes it is the people that have made the game interesting to me. I love reading the forum. Some of the people I know now are the ones that I got into conflict with. A good massing and then invite them to be your officer. Met many through wars. I have had people mass me and then help me to rebuild. The game is fun but it is definitely the players that make you stay.

do you really need to learn respect from an "older player"?

Even in my days of ultimate newbdome i wasn't disrepectful (after i realized that people play out of my time zone and could infact farm me when they are "supposed to be sleeping")

those who fail to show propper respect should always be tought respect by older and newer players alike. a little respect costs nothing and usually gets you a lot further than disrespect

been around here over 18 months now so I kinda think of myself as a bit of an oldie but there are still guys around here who have been about from the beginning so I guess it's somewhat down to your own perspective as to who's an aldie and whose not :P

I know what you mean. I'm at.... er... 16 months, and I don't consider myself an oldie... i mean, the game's been going for what? 22-23 months? 16 is nothing... right?....

...right?......

It's my accounts second birthday at the end of next month! I'm probably one of the least well known active people that have been around that long...
I don't know whether to be ashamed or proud that I've lasted this long, for I am un-ascended and i don't have a mega huge army.
I was in the TA back before Opti disappeared mysteriously and Evilhomer took over. I was in the second OoC/TA war, and got completely annhilated in the conflict (It took several people 7 or 8 pages of attacks to break my defence!). I miss the days before it was all about raiding and massing.
The creation of motherships and planets signified a new wave of playing, as did the market. I got left behind back in the days of treating turns like gold, and tiny army sizes...

This game has taken over my life, and I have almost nothing to show for it... :(

Darn... I missed the 5th generation by a 1000.... Generation 6th I am! (60K)

I'm nearing my tenth month, so I'm guessing I'm not old.

Well, my id used to be in teh early 35000s which made me around 18months, but if someone has a similar ID i'm sure I could work out my starting date a bit more accurately, but I'd consider myself oldskool.
Cant be bothered logging in with my full name- so i shortened it :D

You there! Old Woman!

My old account tauridundee was 24097, I started in June 05....those were the days before raids before planets before the market when I considered a 700million attack good (many didn't I did!!) so thats almost exactly 18 months I have been playing makes me part of the older generation I reckon.
