I'm not sure if it has already been mentioned but I would like to suggest something about when it comes to stealing planets...
Why not have a limit for number of attempts to steal a planet per day?
I just had a planet stealing player take 9 attempts to steal a planet because I accused him of multi-accounting (Which I would hope admin would look into very shortly)
Maybe have the limit to something like 3 times - 4 times every 24 hours?
Hopefully this should cut back on planet stealing accounts while still allowing players to take several attempts at taking the enemy's planet.
What do you all think?

yes this update might be good. but on the other way if you want to take planet with 10 bil defense on it for yourself and you have just 5 bil fleet you must first mass it.in 24 hours the owner of this planet will rebuilt defenses on it..
maybe it will be good that guy who wants to steal you planet must have at least half less army size than you. if you have 10 mili army,this guy must have at least 5 mili amry so he will be able to steal you planet.
or other update: you can lost only one planet on 24 hours. if 2 guys want you steal you planet then must pass 24 hours before your second planet can be attacked.
just my thoughts....

Whats wrong with that? currently you need to have a planet defence 10 times the fleets for it to be safe, massing planets is just plain silly if you have 5 bill fleet power which lets face it isnt hard you can go around and steal 95% of planets in the game with very little losses

That was already suggested, a vote was called by Forum, and it was turned down. This issue isn't going to come up again.
Limiting planet massing is just as silly as limiting the number of massing hits on an account. Smaller strikes can take down big defenses just as smaller fleet strength can take down larger planet defenses. Seems like the same thing to me.

It actually ended up being a discussion of both. When you think about it, it doesn't make any sense for a planet's defenses to kill off hangers on the mothership unless it first got through the shields, as with any other MS based attack. Planet defenses are just that, defenses. They are not offensive weapons.
If your mothership is hovering over a planet, fleets are launched from the ship and attack the planet, and some of them are damaged or destroyed, how would the planet destroy fleet hangers on the mothership without penetrating the shields? If a planet could hit a mothership, wouldn't weapons and shield capacities be damaged as well? Of course they would.
An interesting twist on the planetary defense might be a secondary type of weapon that could be purchased for planets for offensive purposes. Something like a surface-to-air missile system that would launch from the planet surface and hit the mothership when the mothership engaged the planet. Of course, the missiles would have to get past the mothership shields first but after doing so, weapon/defense/fleet hangers could all be destroyed when the shields failed.
Also, by allowing the planet to fire back at the mothership, you'd force planet thieves to not only boost their fleet strength but also their mothership shields in order to successfully hit a planet.

5 billion / 201,000 = 24,875 fleet hangers.
24,875 fleet hangers = 3,093,952,500,000 naq

Total cost: 3,185,442,750,000 naq.
Over three trillion naq is beyond the means of most accounts to simply throw away on a multi-stealing planet thief account for the single purpose to steal a planet or two.
